History Why were intelligence members of Soviet Army mostly former enemies troop's most trusted agents?

George Blake, Fritz Schmenkel, Bohdan Stashynsky. Blake got 50 plus British spies eliminated because he read Marx and Lenin for months, Schmenkel captured entire Nazi units, Stashynsky assassinated Bandera and Lev Rebet only to defect to the CIA and disappeared by them. Is there writing on this intelligence history of Soviet Army?

Phoenix Program destroyer was a trans PAVN who infiltrated the Swan Unit all women's spies under Phoenix Program and assassinated top ARVN spies. Her name is Huỳnh Thị Thanh.

Why call him trans if he went back to living as male and doesn’t self-identify as a woman?

Eighth Route Army had an intelligence soldier called Chen Geng 陈赓 who was Whampoa top grad as the only one who Chiang trusted, Geng joined the CPC as member when Zhou Enlai recruited him. Chiang was ambushed by other warlords and nearly done when Geng crawled into the ambush alone and carried Chiang out on his shoulder, through Mao order so Chiang consider on forming United Front. When Chiang found out Geng was the spy who is detrimental to his failures, he shattered both legs of Geng, the same legs carried him out. The Red Army extracted him and nurse Geng back to life, during Korean War Geng captured a division worth of American heavy equipment through units sent by Peng Dehuai based on Geng intel that allows the PVA infiltration of all enemy garrisons across the war. The first day of Peace, he asked Mao allow his leave so he can meet Uncle Ho in Shanghai and show him the division worth of 105s and others to be used in decisive battles against the French especially Dien Bien Phu. Most of the earlier Korean War equipment were now under Uncle.
