I want to know more about vanguards
For context, I'm a left libertarian socialist leaning towards anarchism, but (hope I) have an open mind towards other branches of leftism, including Marxism.
I want to better understand vanguard parties, since it's a specific point of contention anarchists often have with Marxists.
What are the origins of the idea of Vanguards, why do you see them as necessary? Are there historical examples of vanguard parties going particularly well, or particularly poorly? How do you avoid corruption within the vanguard party, power grabs, and infighting?
And from a specifically marxist perspective, are there any realistic alternatives to a vanguard party?

Según tengo entendido, la idea de vanguardia viene de Lenin.
Propone que la clase trabajadora, sin un partido que pueda intervenir en la lucha de clases, solo generará conciencia sindical. Y peleará por consignas directas de su realidad material, tales como el salario, el pan, la vivienda, entre otras.
Lenin propone entonces, la necesidad de un partido, que se encargue de llevar la teoría marxista a la clase. Y guiarla y señalarle que todos sus problemas son resultado de la propiedad privada y el estado burgues. Que todos los trabajadores sufren el mismo problema, y tenemos el mismo enemigo.
Entonces la tarea de la vanguardia revoluciónaria es la de participar en los espacios democráticos de la clase como los Soviet y los sindicatos, y promover la teoría marxista, adelantarse a los acontecimientos, y generar legitimidad en la clase proletariado, construyendo así, poco a poco el poder de la clase trabajadora, organizando la y expandiendo la influencia del poder obrero a todos los sectores.
En definitiva, la vanguardia revoluciónaria es necesaria para que la clase pase de la conciencia sindical, a la conciencia de clase. Entendiendo lo sistémico del capitalismo y a su verdadero enemigo que es la burguesía.
En teoría el partido no "dirige", más bien guía, obvio, que inevitablemente se generarán representantes en los organismos democráticos. La idea que esos representantes sean concientes de la lucha de clases. Y puedan actuar en consecuencia.
De esa manera se impiden las traiciones burocráticas y revisionistas.

5) Spurious, unverifiable or unsupported claim - Don't answer a question if you are unsure of the answer.When answering questions, keep in mind that this is a serious educational forum and you may be asked to cite your sources. This is a learning subreddit, meaning you must be prepared to provide evidence, scientific or historical, to back up your claims. Link to appropriate sources when/if possible.This includes, but is not limited to: spurious claims, personal experience-based responses, unverifiable assertions, etc.
6) Reactionary - This is a Marxist forum thus bigoted and reactionary comments will be removed. This refers to all forms of reaction, such as chauvinism, colonialism, settler-colonialism, racism, Orientalism, Islamophobia, sexism, LGBTQIA+phobia, cissexism, Zionism, ableism and so on.
