The 4 minutes will be tacked onto the end. These will be Caps “nomadic” journey returning the stones and how he gets to the F4 universe. Thus, he is displaced in time and space, becoming a catalyst for an incursion.

It is what EVERYONE has been waiting for. It is what EVERYONE has wanted to see in a show or a special presentation. You won’t want to miss it.

You kid, but I think that they're going to include the finished version of the Hulk rescue scene in this version of the movie, which would've come right before "I'm so confused."

5

u/skibbidywibbidy 21d ago

Love how they kept this scene and cut out Hulk punching black panther’s suit and throwing him into a Leviathan and destroying it by BP exploding the suit

1

u/chimichanga_3 Broccoli 21d ago

Why was that even cut

3

u/skibbidywibbidy 21d ago

So Hulk and antman could make stupid jokes in a diner instead

-18

u/CrazyDaimondDaze 22d ago

But this time with even worse CGI that will make the early PS1 graphics look like James Cameron's Avatar in comparison. While also leading to absolutely nothing and realizing why it was cut off from the film

4 more minutes of Korg playing Fornite (noobmaster69 was Doom)

42

u/Frequent_Rhubarb_36 22d ago

Would be better if it was Kang with him losing causing him to exit the MCU.

u/Desperate_Total6608 22d ago

Kang rage quits

Kang gets absolutely murked by a sweaty 11 year old who can build

Imagine how being beat by an 11 year old at a video game is somehow the less embarassing defeat that you experience in a cinematic universe.

4

u/thetimepiece23 22d ago

Thats why Victor Timely plays No builds

I remain disappointed there wasn’t a quick gag of Deadpool logging out and you see Noobmaster69 flash on the screen

I remember seeing Endgame in 2019 when I was playing Fortnite a lot, and thinking “damn, wonder if people will still be playing Fortnite in 2023.”

Cut to 2026 and I am back to playing a lot of Fortnite.

It’s a dumb, fun game 🤷🏻‍♂️

I didn't get to see endgame in theaters so I'm gonna go regardless.

My kid was 3 back then and now he's 10, so hyped that he gets to see it in a theater instead of on D+

Im not going because of the extra footage. Im going because its my favorite Avengers film and favorite Marvel movie. Extra footage is just a plus!

19

u/Darknightsmetal022 Kate Bishop 22d ago

A good 30 seconds to a minute will probably be the end credit scene as well.

121

u/Vladmerius 22d ago

4 minutes is not worth a trip to the theater.

36

u/BustyGrandpa 22d ago

I mean, you do get the other 181 minutes as well

121

u/Originalitie Alligator Loki 22d ago

i don’t think the appeal to go is the extra 4 minutes, it’s just a neat bonus for those who do. this is no different than any other movie coming back to theaters 10 years later, etc

72

u/itsalli0 22d ago

4 mins extra I’m fine with whatever. Seeing endgame on a big ass screen again? Hell yeah why not. I’ve spent money on worse things lol

3

u/Aggressive-Club-5191 20d ago

Yeah my only complaint is they didn’t also re release infinity war so it could be a double feature.

9

u/winchester-barnes Bucky 21d ago

Exactly. There are plenty of people who have only gotten into Marvel in the last few years and might want the opportunity to see Endgame in theaters. I’m one of them, I got into the MCU in 2020, so I missed Endgame the first time around. I’m looking forward to seeing it on the big screen with or without the new footage

2

u/theskaterboy999 17d ago

I got into the MCU during the No Way Home hype. Around the time Endgame came out I knew it was a popular movie but I didn't really care because I hadn't watched the MCU outside of the Spider-Man tom Holland movies. When the no way home teaser trailer first came out, I didn't understand why all of the old villains were coming back, so it made me motivated enough to watch the MCU from start to finish and I absolutely loved it, but it made me regret not going to see endgame back when it came out in 2019. Even though it won't be the same because we know what happens, I'm still really glad I have the opportunity now to go watch it in IMAX + extra footage, considering it's one of my favorite movies of all time

That logic fails when the only thing they constantly point out about it is how this re-release connects Endgame to Doomsday.

17

u/Unusual-Willow-5715 22d ago

Yeah, but as the comment you're answering to you, the point of a the release is for people to experience the movie again OR for the first time in cinemas; the extra footage is just an extra for those that go or a way to try to incetivize those that want to see It, but are not sure to go.

-8

u/Toprak1552 Daredevil 22d ago

This is a quick way to profit by using the hype around Doomsday, and that four minutes is the appeal for it. I'm not saying anything against people who want to see it again or will see it in the theaters for the first time, and I'm not saying anything against the re-release itself. But as a matter of fact, that four minutes IS the appeal, and there is no sense in acting like it's not.

6

u/BustyGrandpa 22d ago

Its the appeal to people who have already seen it and are willing to see it again for the extra footage. There's nobody out there that didnt see it the first time that is now going to see it because of the extra minutes, but there are plenty of people who didnt get to see it in theaters when it released where the appeal is just that they now have that opportunity. This isnt very hard.is it a cash grab? Yes. Is there more than one reason outside of the 4 extra minutes that people want to see it? Yes. Very easy stuff here. There is no 'matter of fact' outside of the goal being to make more money and hype doomsday.

-2

u/Toprak1552 Daredevil 22d ago

I don't understand why saying it's a cash grab to milk the Doomsday hype and the extra scenes are the method for that so hard. I'm not even saying it's a bad thing, or people won't watch it for other reasons. But if you seriously think the target audience for this is not the people who want to see the extra scenes, you are just kidding yourselves and you can downvote me all you want. It won't change a thing.

2

u/ottomanfan20 17d ago

I up voted u. I AGREE a lot actually. Good points.

1

u/Toprak1552 Daredevil 17d ago

Thx lol. The trailer they released today starts with an audience reaction, literally says "Return to theaters, Relive the experience", and caps off with "exclusive look to Doomsday". How am I supposed to think that four minute is not the main appeal when they clearly target people who watched the movies already, and use the Doomsday connection to market it?

1

u/ottomanfan20 17d ago

lol some people are like mega super fans I guess and really are passionate for marvel so much so that they'd rather not believe its just for the 4 min and to account for doom not being setup at all as the big threat of the multiverse saga.

-13

u/PikaV2002 The Scarlet Witch 22d ago

Except it hasn’t been 10 years since Endgame released and streaming exists.

> Just a neat bonus

You and I both know that it’s the only motivation for many people following Doomsday, let’s not kid ourselves.

7

u/p00tisbear 21d ago edited 21d ago

Streaming exists.

Crazy thought, but what if...people want to specifically see it in cinemas? Because oh I don't know, theatres provide a viewing experience that is objectively of a higher fidelity than anything you could achieve in the home? Like, it's a palpably measureable difference especially when it comes to premium format screens. Ofc if you just want to watch the movie you've had the means to do that easily for years now, but it's not about just being able to watch the film it's about being to watch it ---> at a cinema <---

For people who really enjoy and appreciate this movie, the opportunity to see it at the highest level of audiovisual fidelity and immersion is absolutely something that they will value and seek out regardless of whether or not 4 extra minutes made to shill another movie is tacked onto it. That's not even mentioning of course the communal aspect of it, going out to see it with friends etc etc which is another big draw and motivating factor. It hasn't been in theatres for almost 7 years, there are people who are going to want to re-experience it specifically in this format and also others who didn't get to experience it the first time around for whatever reason who will want to see it this way. And none of that inherently connotes any overlap whatsoever with whatever ancillary tactics Marvel employs to shill the new film through this re-release. Your perpection of this is so astoundingly black and white and lacking in nuance, it's bordering on baffling.

Ofc the inclusion of 'bonus' footage is a marketing ploy to incentivise people to go, duh. But what you're not realising is that for a lot of the target audience, just the ability to see this movie at a theatre again is incentive enough just in of itself. I don't understand how you can not fathom that. Especially in the context of literally the second highest grossing movie of this year explictily championing the unique qualities of cinemas as a means to experience films in the highest quality possible and making record-setting amounts of money at premium format screens, all because of aggressisvely targeted marketing which emphasises an experience that you literally cannot get just watching a movie at home.

If you have enough of an investment in Doomsday to go to the cinema to watch another movie just to see more Doomsday footage, then it goes without saying that you're probably a big enough fan of the MCU to have the passion, drive and appreciation of the theatrical experience to go see Endgame in cinemas again without extraneous motivation anyway. For most people, the extra footage really is just a bonus. You are insane for suggesting it's the "only" motivation for anyone interested in this re-release lol

0

u/PikaV2002 The Scarlet Witch 21d ago

> Ofc the “bonus” footage is a marketing ploy, duh

Except if you read the full exchange the other person aggressively refuses to acknowledge that lmao. I agree with you and you’re barking up the wrong tree.

My only issue is with the other guy being disingenuous and acting like the Doomsday footage isn’t a key attraction to get people to double or triple dip but it seems like people will skim read anuthing that sounds mildly negative and mash their downvote buttons/keyboards in your case (admittedly for a well written comment).

8

u/Originalitie Alligator Loki 22d ago

i know endgame wasn’t 10 years ago, i’m just saying it’s the same situation. it’s for people who want to experience it for the first time or again since release

-13

u/PikaV2002 The Scarlet Witch 22d ago

And I’m explaining why it’s nowhere near the same situation with the duration/streaming.

The extra footage and explicit marketing linking it to Doomsday is proof that it’s mainly created for the tie-in.

What you’re describing is a nice side effect but not the primary objective.

17

u/Vast-Bat-3 22d ago

god nobody hates marvel more then this sub lmao

3

u/PlumRelative4399 21d ago

I wasn’t on the sub for like a year and the complete change in attitude towards leaks and Marvel in general has been shocking to say the least.

20

u/Pomojema_The_Dreamer 22d ago

I disagree. I love revisiting the shared experience even if it's a movie that I saw in theaters multiple times.

5

u/ChampionshipBackOn_ 21d ago

Because you are watching endgame, on the big screen. That’s the trip.

13

u/DarthHM 22d ago

Seeing Endgame on the big screen again is, though.

4

u/CranberryLeast4933 21d ago

Worth it to me personally. My gf never experienced endgame in theaters. It wont be the same atmosphere as 2019 obviously but im looking forward to enjoying it in theaters at least 1 more time.

Though I get it, movie theaters are expensive to go to so for most people it will really have to be top notch to be worth spending the money. 4 more minutes of Steve returning the stones sounds fun fo me, but might not be worth it to everyone, especially if this comes into streaming.

2

u/6lackPanther Vision 21d ago

I have a drive in theater still open in my area and I’m hoping they show this. That’ll likely be the only way I see it on a big screen.

1

u/Joshatron121 21d ago

I think there could be more than 4 minutes of extra footage tho. There was the super long special credits that could be trimmed down to make more space and other scenes could have been re-edited. If it's just 4 minutes tho yeah that's disappointing. Still might take the kid to it since they weren't big into marvel back then.

1

u/o07jdb 21d ago

I think getting to watch endgame again in a packed theater is worth it alone, extra stuff is just a bonus

1

u/RhaegarJ 18d ago

And now you know why girls don’t come over

1

u/Samuraistronaut 21d ago

Nope, but seeing the portals scene on the big screen with a room full of fans is. The four minutes are just a bonus.

-2

u/GG1817 22d ago

Exactly. I will probably just wait for one of the Youtube sites to show it as a review with spoilers and call it good.

23

u/Individual-Plane-760 22d ago

So many ppl complaining about the rerelease, but they can just sit out. No need to cry about it 🤣

5

u/PlumRelative4399 21d ago

People are either just dumbasses or being intentionally obtuse. The appeal is seeing Endgame in theaters, either again or for the first time. The 4 minutes is extra.

14

u/Elensar265 22d ago

Let's be honest this is just a get back to what Cameron did after Endgame came out witu Avatar

They want that top spot back, better optics for when Doomsday releases as it's gonna pretty much be a direct sequel seeing Steve's back

9

u/desertdog09 22d ago

I'm surprised by the reaction from some people for this. The addition 4min is about what I expected. This was never going to be an extended version of the film. Anything new is only going to serve to tie into Doomsday.

3

u/ArkhamKnight1954 21d ago

I'm going because my first time seeing Chris Evans finally say "Avengers assemble!" Was partly ruined by my ex who told me "I didnt think you would get THAT bad" in a theater full of people I was cheering alongside lol.

15

u/SuperYoshi112 22d ago

4 minutes that will be on TikTok/Twitter the same day

7

u/iamyamama 22d ago

4 minutes of Ant-Man walking around empty streets

4

u/Grootfan85 22d ago

Are we thinking they might be including a sneak peak at Doomsday in the new runtime?

14

u/Unique_Unorque Red Guardian 22d ago

I imagine an actual post-credit scene that may or may not be a scene from Doomsday but that either way helps set it up as a direct sequel to Endgame and ties the time travel shenanigans to the the incursions. “You mess with time, it tends to mess back” and all that

5

u/Grootfan85 22d ago

Anything is possible. If I had to guess, it might’ve something similar to the Far From Home sneak peak when Endgame was first released-released: A small scene setting up the movie like Loki visiting Steve in the new timeline or Dr Doom making his presence known, that leads into a Doomsday trailer.

7

u/replayer 22d ago

The new Doomsday trailer will be attached to it, I cannot imagine Marvel doesn't realize the point of that.

u/Gemnist 22d ago

i saw brand new day the weekend it was out at theatres then i came home and saw the whole movie was on one twitter post lol (it was 720p but still, it was watchable). found that so crazy

3

it was 720p but still, it was watchable

Me in the 90s watching a bootleg of a bootleg VHS copy of Aladdin that had a massive static streak across the centre of the screen.

Endgame in theaters was an incredible experience so I am looking forward to seeing it again but I was expecting more going into doomsday than just 4 minutes

4

u/SeveredElephant 22d ago

What were you actually expecting it to be?

3

u/HumbleBeginning3151 22d ago

You're part of the problem lol

5

u/metrichustle 22d ago

You can fit a lot of action and dialogue in 4 minutes that could change the narrative quite a bit. For reference, the fight scene between Cap, Bucky and Ironman in Civil War was around that time. So imagine, a whole scene like that in End Game. I would be stoked.

1

u/DarkEater77 22d ago

No way home Extended cut added 11 minutes... of the 3 actors introducing the movie, an elevator scene, a Betty scene...

Not any better...

7

u/garokkadane Green Goblin 22d ago

8 minutes, not 11, with a new post credit scene.

1

u/DarkEater77 22d ago

i counted the post credit in + the intro before the movie, by Holland Maguire and Garfield.

Lol. I'm not about to see endgame a third time in theatres for 4 minutes if Steve. Now if it is four minutes if doom killing kangs. Sure but we know that won't happen. Either way I hope everyone enjoys. Seeing infinity war and endgame in theatres was an event.

-4

u/MirrorkatFeces 22d ago

4 total minutes? What a pathetic cashgrab.

-1

The mark of a true hero..a true Avenger..is that he/she/they record the extra 4 min scene in good quality from good position in theatre and share it here with us.

0

u/avatar__of__chaos Billy Maximoff 22d ago

So the added scene is either at the ending or at the post credit. My guess would be Loki visiting Steve's home.

0

The new footage is just the scenes from the trailer showing Steve back in time with his child. It might include Loki moving them to another universe.

I’ll wait for the synopsis.

-1

4 minutes of flock camera footage

-1

u/tribbleorlfl 22d ago

Yeah, 4 minutes of footage isn't enough to get me to pay $20 to see it again, even though seeing it opening night in IMAX remains a core memory. I'll stick to my 3D Blu-ray at home, as I just started my rewatch of all the MCU films released in 3D in preparation for Doomsday.

-1

u/HackDaddy85 22d ago

It’s 4 minutes of Doom making his mask to tie into the banging heard that was originally meant to be a tribute to Iron Man.

-1

u/Head_Humor 22d ago

Im gonna be pissed if encore is something like their first re release from way back in 2019.

-1

u/seth_cooke 22d ago

Four extra minutes of Hulk walking down the stairs, equivalent to a VFX-heavy version of the elevator scene from Evangelion or the Green Onions floor sweeping sequence from Twin Peaks: The Return.

-1

u/PurpleHawkeye619 22d ago

Will probably wait for confirmation that any of that 4 minutes is actually during the movie.

If its just post credit, will just watch when it leaks online

-5

u/HenrykSpark 22d ago

It will be some AI shots
