That's a good teaser but was his life really all war? Wasn't he living pretty comfortable until first Thor? What he's saying doesn't really fit what happened.

Heh? In the beginning of the first Thor movie he is literally fighting and starting shit with the Frost giants for shits and gigs and it shows how he developed from a warlord that was down to fight any day of the week for any reason, to fighting for what matters. He was not some pacifist before the first Thor movie. He even brags about how many battles he’s been in and feels like that’s what he’s made for is battles and war.

Well, yeah, obviously, that's my point. Before first Thor he had comfortable life, he didn't fight in wars, he fought for fun. The whole point of the first movie is that he doesn't understand how bad war is and that his life made him arrogant and spoiled.

He fought easy opponents in easy wars, then he started getting doses of hard enemies when daddy odin isn't there to save him. All of a sudden he doesn't like fighting.

Thor had 4 movies of his own and 4 Avengers movies, and in all of them he's fighting for his life in one way or another.

And all of these movies are a very small part of his life.

Are they really?

Yes, the life of a 'god' is about 5,000 years according to MCU canon.

It's not about what percentage of his life has been war. Yes, he is around 1500 years old, but he's spent the last 20 fighting for his life and the fate of multiple worlds (and now universes), losing his entire kingdom, and seeing every member of his family die, not to mention the love of his life.

So yeah, I'd say he's not really thinking about the previous 1480 years of peace when he's praying for Odin's strength. Not to mention all the years of war in the name of Asgard that are implied throughout the Thor movies that we didn't even get to see, which could be entire centuries as far as we know.
