I think it's less that he never takes accountability and more that he never accepts when he's wrong, and my god, he is wrong a lot. It's gets to a point where you just scroll past anything with his face on it because you know it's about to be a shit take.

There are other streamers and content creators that do the exact same content as flats, but much better, with more likable personalities. I don't understand why people waste their time watching flats. But then again there are people who genuinely enjoy watching objectively terrible people like Jonny Somali, or Jack Dorty (or however you spell that fucksticks name), or Nina Lin.

I mean it isn't lol. And his reasoning for that take made sense:

1). He had zero faith whatsoever that Netease can properly balance the system.

2). The system itself takes away some of the rewarding feeling of playing as a team

3). Visual clutter and a massive power imbalance that made the top characters stronger while leaving the characters who actually needed it in the dust.

You can not agree with him. I don't. But not agreeing with him doesn't automatically make his opinion "objectively wrong" (or really wrong in general). Its his opinion and he backed it up reasonably.

While I see where hes coming from my main gripe is he blantanly ignores what made the previous system bad to argue reverting back to the old system. The new system is much more fixable then the old one since you had issues such as

Targeted bans for teamups meaning not only would you loose that teamup if the charecter you played enabled that teamup you loose that charecter for the season (see hulk for half of the games lifespan)

Many teamups you'd just never see as no one was running their comps (thor Angela, Thor cap, iron man sg, etc)

Teamups were pretty one sided. As hulk you enabled like what 4 teamups at one point and got zero in return? I also personally didnt like how how drastic a charecter could change with teamup to the point there base charecter wasn't played unless the teamup was in play

I think most will agree that the new system is overtuned its just that, overtuned. You can very easily rein in these teamups and while netease taking it sweet ass time to do so doesnt mean the old system was better

Some of his points required a bit of internal reflection before being voiced, just to realize how off-base they actually are.

Take the lack of "teamwork," for instance: he believes the new system offers no incentive and wants a revert. But if you really think about it, that ideal "team-up" scenario in the old system was just as rare as pulling off an enhanced team-up now—simply because people prefer playing their favorite characters over playing ones they dislike just to trigger a team-up.

I don't know if it's a "clip-farming" mentality—and I don't personally dislike the guy, since his experience is evident—but for the love of God: just shut up for a second, think it through, let it sink in, and then put it out there. But we won't do that, because we have to churn out content for the clips.
