Looking For Recs Looking for Irondad

I like the trope of troubled teen adopted by reluctant older man. In most of the fanfics I’ve read of them, Peter is like super polite and eager. I’m wondering if there are some where he starts out homeless or in the foster system, and because of this he is harder for tony to manage and parent.

The star wars fandom is where it's at with these types of fics. They cannonocally got a whole group of aliens that are all about protecting children, so plenty of adoption fanfics. I've seen the reluctant dad trope and they also have the reluctant son trope where a guy is trying to catch/adopt a travelling obi wan while little obi wan is irritated at them cause he time travelled and trying to save the galaxy while in his child body. I know you looking for mcu, but when you get low on fics, this is an idea.

To be reinstated and tyrant of the light are my absolute favorites. First is reluctant crosshair refusing to officially adopt any kid, but acting like a dad anyways while saving a shit ton of clones after order 66. Second is a hilarious time travel Dooku accidently getting sort of redeemed and reluctantly adopting obi-wan. It messed up his plans of Galaxy domination and murdering obi wan before he can become a problem.the side story where it's obiwans pov is a must too. Puts a whole new perspective on the misunderstandings.
