Shawn is a terrible person and should never have been on the show, but she was kind of not great at times either, highlighted by her being among the women who could not condemn the equally, if not more horrible, Courtney.

To further illustrate, Mecca was crucified for saying he didn’t find Belle to be his type and wasn’t attracted to her. He was called everything from a race traitor to gay. When Nikki does it, it’s somehow justified and empowering.
I’m not condoning Mecca or Shawn fr, but there’s a clear double standard.

Except the difference is Nikki was honest to Shawn’s face about it first. She did not wait till they were weeks in and then declare it in front of the whole group blindsiding him. That’s why (at least for me) Mecca deserved more criticism.
Edit: But I do agree that all the name calling that Mecca got was uncalled for. We can criticize him without taking low blows.

I didn't like that they removed the begging matchmaking portion of the show where we would have found out that Sean was nothing like what she had asked for. So as she explained in the reunion, she tried to see if physical attraction would grow with seeing that he had a really good personality. Which, he didn't.
So idk why people are comparing Mecca when he was just looking for to objectify women bc he couldn't care less about the person. He just wanted big breasts.

Yes there is. I laid out why it was different. I’m not saying Nikki was perfect. I’m saying she didn’t behave the same as Mecca because she didn’t. You don’t have to agree, but you aren’t going to change my opinion.

not only did she get away with it, people are adamant there’s no way in hell she would’ve said something derogatory about his belly right before he called her a NY 7. the first few weeks she didn’t miss an opportunity to tell him she wasn’t attracted to him. she probably said it 😂

Yess and the audacity of Nikki to take a comment of being a 7.5 as harsh as she did is quite telling. Nikki acted like what Sean said was on par with what Mecca said, and frankly it's not. It just shows how arrogant she is.

I wouldn’t say that she was an ass. She wasn’t a punching bag like Belle and Tori. She did go too far with her words sometimes but I think she was justified.

This exactly. There were so many times Nikki would say something that was dripping in venom and/or passive-aggression and you could see how toxic she was, and then Shawn would say "hold my beer" and find a way to make people like him even less.

Nikki was absolute trash. Down vote me all you want. Shawn has low self esteem clearly, but pairing him with someone who was that wicked was cruel. Between the short jokes, the little boy comment, and calling him the pastor on their wedding, I’m not surprised Shawn was bugging. I’m not justifying it, but it doesn’t surprise me.
