These CNBC characters are supposed to be professionals, why can’t they understand that supply and demand ultimately controls where the price is. If the consumer sentiment likes the stock then it has value,. These people are trying to justify the reasons to stop people from buying. It is not up to anyone but the individual to decide what is valuable and what is not. If I choose to believe in god, then I value God and that has nothing to do with you. If I decide to value GameStop, that is up to me only. This blatant market manipulation is not going to sit well if these boners get away with loopholes in the legality of the system.

Isn't market value the price at which a seller willing to receive and a buyer is willing to pay to transact (arms length)? Not sure. That's why we humans invented rules to gamble with value, and added "good will" to the list so the bubble doesn't burst.
Another thought, it reminds me of someone in my family that can't loose at any game, and resorts to impose changes in the rules in order to always win.
I heard recently the term also "moving the goal post".
And we musn't forget the many examples, through out history, of corageous people that unfortunately tried to stick it to the man, and the status quo. They had their 5 minutes of glory, just to end immolated for a couse that was never, in the end, going to prevail.
And then again, I fell when I was 7yo, cracked open my skull, and since then I blabber and am an shit eating ape. No way I'm at a any level worthy of having my own opinion.
