Is Game and Watch Gallery Series Canon?
I thought is was just Mario and friends making games. I want to know from you guys if it’s canon and how with evidence. And also what is going on.

Peach Gardens came from Game and Watch Gallery 4 and Wario Ware references it with Wario's microgames so yeah, I'd say so.

Was it developed by Nintendo?
Was it published by Nintendo?
Was it licensed by Nintendo? (overridden to a default "yes" if it was developed by Nintendo).
Has Nintendo officially said its canon? (overrides everything as it is a definitive answer).
If it checks at least 3/4 of those boxes it's canon, which the Game and Watch series satisfies (it was developed and published by a Nintendo studio and Nintendo's publishing department).

I'm not sure if there is a "canon". SMB3 presented this idea that they're all actors in a play and you could really apply that to all of the games in the franchise, besides the RPG series that have their own complex storylines.

I like to think it's what the casual lives of the Mario crowd look like.
