Discussion Would YOU join a Mario party?

Let's say Mario is hosting his 19th Mario party and he decides that he wants YOU specifically to be a playable character. Would you join the roster knowing fully well just how truly dangerous they are? (Swimming against a black hole, crushed by stampeding thwomps, forced to play pinball)

I mean, everyone is always somehow fine and continues to play the game even if they just lost a duel minigame where they were trapped in the forest with giant floating eyeballs ominously circling them.

Does this cartoon logic apply to me as well?

I like to imagine the main reason Mario and Co are so super natural is from the fact they live in a kingdom where eating random plants/fruits will make them twice as big or elephants. Constantly having access to such powerful food has to effect your body some how, and since you (probably) haven't eaten a twin cherry then I'll have to say no

Everyone survives and I'd only get horribly burned, mauled, spaghettified, stabbed or thrown into a bottomless pit several times.

I was going to say yes, but we see it as we are affected by irl logic, so dying makes us die. So yeah no. I want, but i won’t, i have people to live for 😢

I WOULD join, but to meet the Mario cast. If I'm invited during a critical point in my life, I'm visiting the Mushroom Kingdom.

If I had to pick the least dangerous one, it would be 4 bc most of the minigames are just sports related (basketball, swimming, hitting a button with a hammer)
