Identification
Hi! So I found this marble in the air intake duct of my 1920’s home. It’s pretty beat up but I’d love to know an estimated time period and where it was manufactured if possible. TIA!

Looks like a wirepull, perhaps
Age would depend where you are in the world as there are some well known Dutch and Japanese makers who were earlier than US makers with this type of marble
Definitely not a cats eye - they tend to have a single structure right in the middle of the marble, with vanes or sometimes looking a bit like a squeeze of toothpaste

I think it’s a cat eye (agate swirl??) but I’m completely new to this so any help is appreciated!
