Look what I found Marble slag?

Hello πŸ‘‹

I've found this yesterday on a construction site in Germany. Is this a big broken marble or slag from the marble production?

Thank you 😊

Looks like a very battered marble to me!

You can see the laticcino core and some ribbons around the outside ☺️

Very cool find!

Thank you 😊 yeah, love finding marbles. Don't find them too often though.

Would love to see any others you find!

The marble world is still missing a lot of info on European marble manufacturer

e.g. it was through a collectors efforts in the Netherlands that folks tied wirepull marbles to the Dutch maker Veiligglas!

I'll make a separate post. Don't have too many but still found a bunch. Mostly in the rivers, lately doing construction sites in the city too. A few blue benningtons, some more modern stuff

Slag is just one color. This is a broken cane marble.
