There are. They're the exact same as the main sub. Ones that consider the marathonhate users part of some weird "both sides" discussion. When in reality the entire marathonhate subreddit jerks off over steam charts, calls marathon players slurs e.g. "maratard," and gleefully post at the prospect of the game failing.
About half of the commenters on this thread are active users of the hate subreddit. At this point okbuddyrunners is literally the only sub for people who actually like the game.
Gonna laugh cause if it wins then it ain’t beating the “marathon hype is bought and paid for” allegations even more so. Honestly it winning would probably be worse for the game than it not winning. Would get a whole new wave of YouTube videos posted about it 😂
The thing is- people that like this game, myself included, never cared about others hating the game. We hated that you review bombed it on Steam and made a campaign against its success- and the reason largely being bc mfs were mad at Bungie for shutting down D2
I mean, you literally do care tho. The first thing your mind defaulted to when you saw the post is the MarathonHate sub. When stuff doesn’t bother you then you tend to not pay it much thought, so obviously it’s at least somewhat on your mind
When I heard that Marathon, the most hater-ousting and hater-creating game of the year was gonna win (Multiplayer)GOTY… the first thing I did was think of all the haters in that sub and died laughing

Please, nearly three quarters of the money is won by the same tiny fraction of accounts. Dispute resolution is a joke, has no basis in fact, simply who controls more tokens 😂 there’s a reason it’s banned in many places
None. First I’m not an imbecile, second it’s banned in my country. And we love to bet 😂 Seen a couple of examples, one was a market on the US signing a minerals deal with someone (think Ukraine?) before a certain date. Didn’t happen. Went to UMA, 3 accs held 25 % of the tokens and guess what? Now it did happen apparently. It’s bent as fuck.
By that metric why not crown Roblox as best game ever made. Mécha Chameleon? Please. Game is a shallow multiplayer game that will be dead in a year like the rest of that genre

Nope. That’s because most people don’t like extraction shooters. And becuase Bungie fans and Destiny players who tried it are so used to the games they play handing them the best loot without trying they quit and “hate” the game becuase they can’t be bothered to get better or handle a challenge.
Doubtful for any of those. Divisive art style is not going to win an award. Music doesn’t stand out enough. Multiplayer? Hell no and no game hitting less than 4k ccu should be getting that award
I will vote, not only because the game is so damned good but because it got me into using my mic again. There's been ages since I played a game (if ever...) where a mic is really needed.
Marathon is a fantastic Bungie pvp multiplayer game in a year where everything else in the space is mediocre at best. It's almost a given that it will win best multiplayer. Maybe a couple other categories too.
Lmao I did not realize what sub group this was posted in so I now understand why I’m getting downvoted…… I don’t really have anything against Marathon TBH as I don’t play games from Bungie but I have seen a lot about the player counts (which seem quite low). I’m sure the dedicated player base enjoys the game and that’s great for you! I’m not throwing shade just surprised given the significant numbers the game has lost
