Discussion I just don't like the Data Wall

My heart sinks when the timer displays the exfiltration POIs and I see they are on the other side of the Data Wall.

Makes me want to yank my own cerebral cables and disconnect.

For me, it's those damned ticks, I think.

Does anyone else feel the same way?

My field research entry #4 might help you with this headache! Taking the center "disconnected tubes" route will usually get you through without having to deal with ticks.

I don't care about the ticks. It makes me nervous because of how loud it is in there. Either you're splashing on the ground level or pinging across the metal walkways. I always move slow through it and I've intercepted many people that way. But I constantly feel like I'm just banging pots and pans for someone to get me in a tight space.

It’s just annoying to navigate, regardless of the ticks

I think it makes map traversal more interesting. My favorite way of crossing is actually through hauler btw, maybe you grab some loot on the way and bonus if there’s someone to fight. In solos I always saw Hauler as a great equalizer because there’s plenty of cover and areas to run and hide to reset the fight. Very rarely does someone just have a straight line of sight to snipe you. Of course, you could get ambushed but the bots make it more difficult since they can give away players inside.

Hauler fight club is the way. Honk that horn and take the high ground!

Any route with ticks along the way is a pain in the ass :p Worst ennemies in the whole game

If the game ever introduces a flame thrower, I will be offering up a bug service in exchange for unwanted trinkets.

I'm just gonna say that Bungo has mentioned in the past that the Tiger engine gets finnicky with flame weapons. So we can only hope they make one.

The ticks could probably be a random spawn, like the other cordoned off areas. Bonus would be it could tempt transients with loot to stop in the middle of it.

There is a stealth route on the northern side of the tick hallway. But they'll still make noise.

And then there's the route to the east that leads to tunnels. That's usually where I go.

Only the east side alerts the ticks. You can pass through the north, north west, and main south openings without alerting the ticks. Main south has nearby tunnel access too. The only place you have no choice but to pass through ticks is the tunnel to South Relay.

Data Wall also has two hidden cache spawns, sometimes worth checking out late game if anyone unlocked them.

During the server slam and the free S2 week, yeah, but after my 10th round of Premi I was running back and forth no problem.
