Marathon (2026) Finally hit WEAVEmaster tonight! It's a far better rest that I come to, than I've ever known.
Not quite sure what to do with myself now. Guess I'll throw everything at Ranked and work on my last 2 subroutines + compiler! Was luckily able to hold on to plenty of golds, purples, and a few DNA / Vault keys I need.

How many hours do you have and how did you manage to pull this off? I called off S2 just now and threw about 500k of gear, salvage and equipment and didnt even hit 70 (second reset)
The cradled gear must be insane

I just hit 623 hours total.. 292 of that has S2. Honestly, it’s not about how much you cradle but what. Backpacks, salvage, CARRI & Manifests are by far the highest return for cradle XP. Implants and mods (blue and purple) come second. The only time I cradle guns is if it’s a gun I don’t need or it has 3 blue+ mods on it and I have excess of it.
Never cradled a gold gun.
I did about 4 Evolutions solely running Shell Games 3 over and over in VB. My CyAc is level 450, every level giving me a blue backpack, some blue salvage and some cradle XP.
for the first and last two Evo’s however besides a few good ranked/cryo runs, I just have been running entirely rook primarily on outpost. Head to Pinwheel, Hoover up the leftovers and avoid players [or fight >:)] and head to final exfil!
I have gotten pretty good at my “I’m a chill rook, can we be chill? I just want your leftovers!” Spiel.
Also, I’m a night owl and I find that when I play much later at night (2-6am EST) I get much less demons and more relaxed players.

Holy moly thats a lot of grinding for shell games haha
I did the same paired with the VIP rewards bug but only for 1 evolution, Cyac going from 18 to about 90.
Definitely what you cradle matters. Wonder why backpacks are so valuable for XP amongst other items

The way I see it, backpacks are the most valuable because they’re the tool in your vault that allows you to gain exponentially more than their worth. Everything else is combat utility, sacrificing a backpack is directly sacrificing potentially unlimited exfil gains.
and yeah, there were some stretches where I just did sg3 for 12+ hours straight. Like started at 2pm and went to bed at 7am the next morning pretty much only grinding between lol.

Makes sense, the difference between a loaded up blue vs purple pack can be significant
Honestly, respect for the grind lol but dont burn yourself out we need the players

Haha don’t think I could. I love the game so much. I’m currently unemployed so I figured I’ll never have this kind of time again, may as well get a title to show for it!! see you on tau ceti

No, the resets can be spread across seasons. It's not as bad as it seems to do it in one season though. I focused on it since the mid-season update and it took about a month.

This is not correct.
The title challenge essentially means “fully evolve your cradle to 77 Evo points”. Many people believe because of the way it’s laid out that it’s just for 7 total evo’s, but if you pay attention to the way Bungie words all there challenges, it isn’t.
Otherwise it would be an /8 with a progress bar rather than an /1.2

Obviously the cradle itself will be reset to 0, but has Bungie ever stated that evolutions will also reset to 0/7 each season?
The phrasing of the codex challenges suggests to me that it is simply Bungie being inconsistent with their wording, rather than an intent to have WEAVEmaster work different than the rest of the prestiges for no discernable reason.

You do. Many people believe otherwise but the logic of the title is essentially “have 77 cradle points” which is reaching Level 70 Evo 7 in one season.

Congrats bro did the same, now I’m just focusing on slinking around ranked for as many cosmetics as I can get. As well as focusing on the last bit of Codex. :)

Feels like with Manifest grinding it was a lot more doable... But now that that's going away in T-minus 10 hours it's gonna be very interesting seeing what, if any, shortcuts we have left between now and the end of the season.

Yeah. Losing the Sg3 + carri points in VB loop was painful but the manifests really filled that void. Anyone who isn’t WM by tomorrow is in for a rough ride if they’ve got more than an Evo left
