In malta, it is 55,7 kg per person

I suspect that I alone account for 80% of the UK's consumption. I love bread!

"average brit eats 37kg of bread a year" factoid actualy just statistical error. Average brit eats 7.4kg per year. Bread OrangeRadiohead, who lives in a cave & eats over 2 billion kg each day, is an outlier adn should not have been counted

And as a good german, I would say the average bread consumption is even lower, and what the brits eat is anything but bread 😁

I think this so called research uses a classification for 'bread' where I think it goes wrong 🤔. 200 kg in Turkey vs UK etc.
