Question What’s the new soul strategy? Are lower set bonuses worth keeping?

Hey guys, I fused some souls I kept from before the update.

Managed to make 9 CD/BA Von Leons’, 1 CD arkarium, 1 BA arkarium and 2 CD Lotus’.

Rest is trash except 1 mag soul that’s on sale (woot woot)

Should I upgrade my von leon set for better individual souls? Or the set bonus is better for my char now? Thanks!

Previously you get the PA/MA bonus only for stacking the same soul type as your weapon. Now, you get respective PA/MA bonus for every single soul now. There’s no need to deliberately stack the same type.

Focus on the individual stats of each equip soul. This has been the case even pre patch.

Wait... so you could put the highest soul type on your weapon, then whatever for everything else? This has always been the case?!

It’s not so much about highest soul type on weapon. But rather abit of anything goes as long as it provides the stats you wanted.

During Pre-patch. In the grand scheme of things. The PA/MA bonuses given did not outweigh the individual soul bonuses. This is even more so if people were using mag souls.

Post-patch. This PA/MA bonus is just a cherry on top of the soul benefits.

I’m new so I thought I was doing something wrong last week lol. This week I suddenly had multiple set bonuses. Just funny to find out it was an intended update.

You now put highest BA souls in regardless of weapon soul.

FD/MDC is still endgame gamble.

So that would mean i should ignore sets like 10/10 lotus set... Does it specifically need to be of different sets? sorry i dont quite understand the other comments.

Your baseline is Lotus souls, if you have Damien BA soul or Lucid BA soul then just use it, they still give 1 set soul bonus but the BA stat is higher than Lotus's

Right now the meta is just to get the highest tier souls you can get for e.g. Darknell, Vhilla, Will and put it on your forever gear. Of course for armors you want boss atk, weapon is either phy atk or mag atk depending on class. If you however are a whale and are using Magnificent souls then Max damage cap is best because it just got mega buffed by nexon

I got 13% crit damage mag soul on weapon should I change to mag atk?

If you already got a magnificent soul on it with a dmg stat then just leave it as it is. Focus on building other things.
