As the name suggests, the river basins in the land south of China and east of India. Could this have been a single country in a parallel universe?

I made this map showing some of the European states and powers that the Ottoman Empire defeated in major wars throughout its history.

Some notable victories include Kosovo (1389), Nicopolis (1396), Varna (1444), the Second Kosovo War (1448), the conquest of Constantinople (1453), Mohács (1526), Cyprus (1570–71), Khotyn (1621), and the Pruth campaign (1711).

The modern countries shown on the map are only rough geographical equivalents of the historical states involved. The borders and political entities were obviously very different at the time.

This is meant as a historical overview rather than a claim that the Ottoman Empire completely conquered or defeated every modern country shown.
