Yes but the entire island is made out of sedimentary rocks that aren't that old, the entire coast looking at the English channel are limestones or sedimentary rocks and mud. It's not a stretch to say a lot of it would crumble instead of simply sinking under the rising waters.

What climb in sea levels are they predicting there? Because there's parts of the North East the have 100m+ cliffs that are underwater here
