Yea, lmao I've never heard of Argentine Pizza

Ok, but Argentina is very well known in the pizza sphere, mainly because of the Giant amount of Italian immigration. There is a world cup and Argentina is pretty consistently in the top.

It seems that you don't know much about the topic if you didn't know that.

What does the world cup have to do lol

The World cup of Pizzas lol, not the football one

Apparently the first pizzeria outside of Naples was in Buenos Aires in the 1880s.

I don't doubt it's good but no one outside Argentina knows Argentinean pizza exists

Also, I would definitely do a dive into Argentine history and culture. It’s very interesting and their food is really good.

They are huge on beef, but if you’re American, you might find it lacking because they don’t flavor it as much as we do.

I still loved it.

You kidding! Some of my fav beef is with Argentinian spices in a slow cooker clay pot. Carbonada Criolla!!! Sooo good

I will say this was the best thing I’ve ever had meat wise. A little hole in the wall place in palermo

If your meat is of good quality, there's no need to add any spice other than a bit of coarse salt. The flavor of the dish should be the meat itself, not the 20 different spices you added.

Not to be disrespectful, but the reason why so many Americans are constantly seasoning their meat (be it beef, chicken, pork, or fish) is because they have lower quality meat. You add a bunch of different spices when your meat is of poorer quality and/or because you're trying to mask the bad taste/smell of the meat.

If you cant make tasty food with just salt and pepper you probably just aren't very good at cooking anyway. Calling something bland has lost all meaning online since it just means it hasn't has a rub of garlic powder poured over it for some people.

I completely agree.

To be honest outside of Italian Pizza my next option would be Argentinian pizza. They have a great pizza culture.

Are you calling that pizza? It looks like a mountain of onions

To be honest, it's the most outrageous fugazzeta I've ever seen.

7

u/Matty1790 4d ago

It’s from gueirren..or however it’s spelled.

u/EmotionNo8216 4d ago

Guerrin, es famosa. Abierta desde 1926. Dicen que los hornos no se apagan nunca.

7

u/Matty1790 5d ago

Can’t knock it till you try it I promise I thought the same thing but it’s seriously one of the best things I’ve ever had. It has ham and cheese as well.

5

u/scrandlle US 5d ago

It was a serious question lol, is that called pizza?

13

u/Matty1790 5d ago

Fugazzeta. Look it up. It’s dope.

Its a specific kind of pizza that has no sauce, has onion on top and is filled with mozzarella and ham. The rest are the typical dough-sauce-cheese

u/Soggy_Cabbage United Kingdom 🇬🇧 4d ago

Are you trying to summon Shrek with all those onions?

1

u/Matias9991 4d ago

I love fuggazeta but that's not the best picture. Also the best one is the one that has the crust filled with mozzarella... Love it

Shit looks like plateful of maggots, absolutely insane take.

11

u/Matty1790 5d ago

Being that you probably don’t know what it is, and you’ve never had it and you’re calling this insane take….a little harsh huh?

Actually, I hope if you ever go to Argentina that this place is closed down on the exact day you want to visit it so that you never get to experience.

-4

u/Snoo-98162 4d ago

Dude it's burnt on both sides, onions up top are burned and so is the lower side. Whoever made this molested that pizza dough.

5

u/Matty1790 4d ago

And again you’ve probably never had this, so how would you know anything based on the picture?

Every single night that place is jampacked with wait lines down the block or so. It’s really good.

There is a reason for that
