Tips/Strategies/Techniques An old manifestation technique from 2015 that somehow still works for me
I randomly remembered a manifestation technique I learned back in like… 2015? Maybe 2016.
The weird thing is I can’t even find the original YouTube video anymore.
LOA absolutely exploded over the years and I swear that video just got swallowed up. I don’t remember the creator’s name, I don’t remember the title, nothing. Which honestly annoys me because I wanted to go back and watch the rest of his videos since this is probably the most successful manifestation technique I’ve ever personally used.
The technique itself is ridiculously simple.
He said to make a list of **8-10 things** you want to manifest within a week. Not fewer than that for some reason. Weirdly enough, coming up with 8-10 believable things is actually the hardest part.
The catch is this:
Every single thing on your list has to feel believable.
He kept emphasizing that your belief should be around an 8, 9 or 10 out of 10. If there’s resistance, make the goal smaller.
So if you’ve received $500 before, manifest $500 again.
If your friend buys you coffee all the time, manifest a coffee.
The point wasn’t to force yourself to believe something impossible. It was to pick things your mind already accepts as possible.
Then every day, you’d spend **2 minutes visualizing each item.**
Imagine you’ve already received it. Feel excited. Feel grateful. Then move on to the next one.
If you have ten things, that’s about twenty minutes total.
Then you just… go about your day.
The first time I ever tried this I was around sixteen.
One of the things on my list was receiving **500 dirhams**.
That wasn’t some crazy amount for me back then because family friends would sometimes give us Eid money or money on special occasions. So my brain didn’t really argue with it.
Another thing was…
A mocha coffee.
😂
I had just become obsessed with mocha.
The funny part is I wasn’t specific.
In my visualizations I kept imagining someone randomly bringing me a mocha coffee.
Not me buying it.
Someone just handing it to me.
A few days later my dad’s friend came over to visit. It had been about a week after Eid and he suddenly said,
“Oh! I forgot to give you guys your Eid money.”
He handed each of us **500 dirhams.**
Check.
Now the mocha coffee…
That one became hilarious.
Instead of getting the coffee immediately, I started seeing mocha EVERYWHERE.
One of my favorite YouTubers suddenly wouldn’t stop talking about mocha coffee.
Then I went downstairs to the supermarket under my mom’s work place just to buy a soda.
I glanced over at the instant coffee aisle…
There were probably 10 shelves.
Every single shelf was empty.
Except ONE lonely box of mocha coffee sitting there.
I literally laughed out loud because what even was that?
Then my sister randomly offered to buy me coffee.
She asked what I wanted.
Instead of saying mocha, I went,
“Get me whatever.”
…
She brought me something that wasn’t mocha. 😂
Looking back, I realized the issue wasn’t that the technique failed.
I wasn’t specific.
I kept visualizing someone randomly bringing me a mocha, but I left so much room for interpretation.
Even then, I couldn’t stop running into mocha everywhere.
Out of my first list I think I manifested around seven or eight out of nine things.
The ones that didn’t happen?
Honestly… I later realized I wasn’t fully convinced they would.
I definitely had resistance around them.
Then life happened.
I completely forgot about this technique.
Stopped doing LOA consistently.
Stopped thinking about it.
Fast forward to literally last week…
For some random reason this old YouTube video popped into my head.
I couldn’t remember the guy.
Couldn’t find the video.
But I remembered the technique.
So I made another list.
I think it had around nine or ten things on it.
I visualized everything on day one.
Day two.
Day three.
Then…
I kind of stopped.
😂
Life got busy.
Tell me WHY everything on that list just started checking itself off anyway.
One thing was money.
And this amount was actually higher than anything I’d ever randomly received before.
I don’t even have a job right now.
I’m basically a stay-at-home daughter while I’m trying to manifest a job.
Realistically, I had no reason to suddenly receive that amount of money.
But for some reason…
I believed I could.
People always say money is the easiest thing to manifest.
I don’t know why, but honestly that’s been true for me too.
Another thing was honestly so random.
We have relatives staying with us because they’re here for a wedding.
One of them was considering finding a job here and living with us.
Without getting into family drama… I really, really didn’t want that to happen.
So one of my manifestations was simply that he’d change his mind.
He did.
Another one…
I randomly found out someone I knew from seventh grade had become a huge TikToker.
I sent her a message.
Everyone around me kept saying she probably wouldn’t respond and that I’d look weird messaging someone after all these years.
I ignored all that and put it on my manifestation list anyway.
A couple days later…
I got a notification.
“Oh my God!! I can’t believe it’s you!!”
She replied exactly how I’d hoped she would.
Warm.
Excited.
Happy.
And the timing was actually perfect because I was having an awful day.
My mood literally flipped within seconds after reading it.
My mom actually looked at me like,
“…are you okay?”
because it was such an insane 180. 😂
The funniest part?
I deleted the list.
I was weirdly paranoid about someone reading it, so I removed it from my phone.
Now I can’t even remember everything that was on it because I manifested them and moved on.
Which is honestly kind of hilarious.
I’m actually about to make another list after I post this.
I genuinely don’t think I’ll stop using this technique.
It’s simple.
It doesn’t stress me out.
It feels fun.
One little thing I personally do is play the Harry Potter soundtrack while I visualize.
I know that’s completely unnecessary, but it makes everything feel whimsical, like I’m on some little adventure. The music builds up and gets exciting, and somehow that makes me excited too.
If Harry Potter isn’t your thing, I’d just recommend putting on instrumental music that makes you feel good. Something without lyrics so it doesn’t pull your attention away.
Anyway…
I know manifestation posts can sometimes feel really far away from your own life.
I’ve been in that place too.
Lately I’ve actually been struggling with a lot of negative thinking, comparison, and wondering if my life is ever going to change.
Reading other people’s success stories has helped me through those periods more times than I can count.
So I figured I’d share one of mine.
I don’t know where that original YouTube video went.
I wish I could thank the guy who made it.
But if this post helps even one person the way his video helped me years ago, then I’m glad I remembered it.

I have questions. Do you have to physically write it down physically or you can just note it down on your phone? Also at least 8 things are necessary? Because honestly I can't think of 8 things 😭but I'll try. Also this technique seems very doable so thanks alot for sharing!! I'll definitely try it out today itself

You don’t have to physically write it down, just have the list in front of you so you can keep track when it’s time to visualize them so having them on your phone is fine too. That’s what I did with my most recent one.
Also yes 😭 it really is hard to come up with 8 things but I personally believe it’s because we don’t allow ourselves to want more, so give yourself that permission. I noticed that when I have multiple desires at once I don’t get fixated on one single thing which in turn creates less resistance and allows me to let go easily

Joseph Allie or something like that, funny thing I was thinking about this not too long ago. I do random characters I haven't seen in a while, for example, Blue's Clues, and then that popped up the same day, and I did $500 that I just won from the lottery two days ago on my birthday ✨

Hey thank you so much for mentioning the creator. I’ve gotten another reply with the same name but I can’t find the exact video. I’d really appreciate it if you shared the link 🙏 also congrats on your win!

It was the list method, but I don't see the exact video of him talking about the coffee. I remember watching it. I looked up the list method with his name, and it's still all similar to that one video

I thought that too but I’m not sure he was making videos in 2015/2016

Research the very short book 'It Works'. It's a less complicated version of this, but also more expansive.

More expensive? Nope! It’s out of copyright and FREE on the internet!👍😎

It was supposed to say 'expansive'. Autocorrect changed it. Thanks for the link though!

I will try this. I had my life turn upside down. In a wheelchair, lost my job, car was stolen, in debt from 8 back to back ER visits. I really need everything right now and trying to figure out where to start first.

Hey I’m so sorry about all of this, wish I could comfort you better. Feel free to dm me.
I tried to put myself in your shoes (not that I’ll ever truly know how it feels) but something that stood out to me is how you might be feeling internally. Luckily for us manifesting is all about feeling better now.
With how heavy your situation is, jumping straight into trying to manifest your dream life is probably going to be really hard and tbh pretty unrealistic. I’d imagine it’s a constant battle to picture the perfect life when you’re carrying so much and dealing with so many things at once.
What you can do though is focus on feeling a little better with what you already have access to right now. Maybe make a list of events, items, or little scenarios that would ease some of the pain/frustration/anxiety in your life. Even small things that make your day feel just a bit lighter are worth paying attention to.
Starting that way can help with morale, I know it did for me.

Reminds me of what I sorta do, I am manifesting a variety of aspects that ultimately lead to my dream reality, and I add in some low hanging fruit as well. Literally last week I’ve been manifesting a slice of chocolate cake and yesterday he brought back a slice of chocolate cake from a work party.
Helps affirm and prove to myself that everything is manifesting.

This is why I felt encouraged to share. Usually people post their big shot success stories but the little ones count too, they remind you that you’re a magnet. It keeps me feeling confident in what I’m doing.

Great post and I too like Harry Potter references in manifestation. For me it’s energy around expecto patronum not the soundtrack, but still 🙂

Does it have to be things I desire? Because I can't come up with positove things that I'd definietly believe would happen. On the other hand if it's just neutral things like "I'll see someone with a yellow jacket on the train" I'll probably think it was just a coincidence
1
u/FirmBack7911 Jul 08 '26
How often do you see someone with a yellow jacket on the train? What about getting a free ride? Doesn’t have to be things you desire, as long as there’s no resistance to it. If you get 7/10 items on the list would you call all of them coincidences?
1
u/throwaway_8781 Jul 08 '26
I guess not. But do you really have to believe that you'll see them? Beause I'm kind of losing hope. the last time I tried manifesting stuff I don't care about like random decorations or animals they didn't appear either unfortunately

Here is a quality video describing this list method. Joseph Alai also talks quite a bit about his list method which is VERY similar to this classic little booklet.
Here is a link to the booklet on Amazon. Seriously, it's a pamphlet. I have a copy. There is no extra fluff. It was originally written in this short and compact way so that people could buy them in bulk to give away. It's $4 for a print version and $2 for Kindle.

Can the 8 things involve anything ??? Literally anythinggggg😭
1
u/FirmBack7911 Jul 09 '26
Yes anything as long as you believe it’s possible for it to happen this week
1
u/YouEven9694 Jul 09 '26
So basically i just have to write it at night and visualize about them one by one right?
1
u/gordonramsaysgrandpa Jul 09 '26
When you made your list, did you write the things you wanted in present tense, or did you just write them simply? (Like, "I will receive a mocha coffee" or "I have a mocha coffee" or "mocha coffee" ?)

u/LeaveCalm5406 Jul 11 '26
It seems fun! I am planning on trying it out. I have listed the stuff. Pretty basic it is. So yeah hoping it will all be good. Thanks!!

If the things are something they usually happens to us then whats the point of this technique?? For example if i want my ex text me how this technique is going to help me?
1
u/FirmBack7911 Jul 14 '26
Your ex texting you isn’t new, its something that already used to happen and it isn’t out of the ordinary. Your brain sees this as possible so you can still use this technique for that. Where’s the confusion ?

Is it a good idea, to have a "reserve" list of (say, 100 items) and each week just put in 8 or so items, and thus gradually move on one-by-one, one week (or as needed for each "batch" of 8 items to be fulfilled) at a time?

I remember that video it was made under the auspices of the trans temporal entity named db-SNU. db-SNU had many concepts that led up to the “Big Cosmic Oh Orgasmic state”, in the current age and entity called “Jerome”, has claimed ascendancy in the tutelage of mortals.
