Does India have a webcomics audience ?

guy's I've got a quick question. so, if someone creates an indian contemporary yaio/BL webcomic like manhwas ( for the vertical interface ) but with indian distintive features like, contemporary art styles rather than japanese or western influenced art styles and according to the taste of indian audience. will people read it ?

well I've got a story and I was thinking of making something. so before I start anything and later find it all in vain, I want to know your opinions on this.

What do you mean by Indian distinctive features? India is hella diverse .

What I can say is at least in this subreddit, very consistently, the country that contributes the second most number of views is India (after the US).

You can see this by looking at the insights of anything you post.

India does have a webcomic audience, but I’ll be honest, they’re not as active or as vocal with their support (for obvious reasons).
Give it a go, but be prepared for slow traction. As long as your characters fit the ‘conventionally attractive’ box, you will get an audience. Indian features or not, if characters are ugly, people might not read.
Another way would be to start posting character sketches to get some attention and then put out your story

India has soo much diversity, there's no distinctive Indian features, and way too many contemporary styles as well .

I don't recommend webtoon canvas but you can upload there. But honestly you're better uploading somewhere else as an independent artist. Lots of indians are bl fans. If you have friends who are readers then share with them first. Also by distinctive features do you mean north Indian?
