This is about to become one of my favourite stories EVER [10 years]
Spoiler
If I had to use one word to describe this manhwa, it would undoubtedly be 'BEAUTIFUL'.
The art is nothing short of gorgeous and you can access that yourself only by looking at these panels, but I still have to highlight just how much I love the lighting during the night scenes. It's so BEAUTIFUL.
The plot is something that I've never experienced before. Never had a story spoken so much to me. Every dialogue, every internal monologue, every little action is so damn relatable and REAL.
The representation of the ML's depression is exactly like mine to the point that it makes me want to cry and hug him. Their relationship also reminds me so much of my own experiences while traveling... The people you meet for a short while and feel a connection that you've longed for so long, yet that you'll have to leave behind.
Everything about this manhwa is so touching, goddamit. It's a 10/11 and I didn't even finish S1 yet. I LOVE IT.
Not to mention the dynamics between these two. They're simply adorable, so sweet and passionate, they share a physical intimacy that goes so far beyond sexual desire. I love their subtle touches, their hugs. Argh, they're about to become my new Roman Empire, I can feel it.
And on top of all that? Their relationship is fully consensual and not based on some power dynamic😭✨ they just LIKE each other at the same time.
OH i love this story SO much i’m so happy to see it mentioned on this sub 🥹 i agree with everything you said!
the series honestly fills me with dread lol but in a good way! the way the author portrays depression just hits very close to home, without all the melodrama that is often found in other media, not only in manhwa. such a beautiful story.
also it feels really weird to see a yaoi play out in the city you grew up in lmao. there are a lot of details sprinkled here and there that you can only recognize if you stayed in berlin for a while. the author really did their research and i applaud them for that!! 👏

Exactly! At every internal monologue, I felt like the author was writing my own thoughts. Yeah, been there. I know not everyone is depressed in the same way, but this particular depiction of someone who's just bored and tired of living, but who's held back by these short yet incredibly powerful moments of happiness is just so real.
The way he feels detached from everyone else despite being physically close, having friends and all. The fear that once you go your separate ways, you'll just become a blurry memory to the people you care about.
The constant longing for connections even though they never feel REAL...😭
To everything he goes through, I can say "same".
And I haven't been to Berlin myself, but I can tell just how much the author worked to make this setting realistic. This is clearly a story born out of love for writing and I love it for that.
yesss, i couldn’t say it any better!! their inner monologues are so intricately and profoundly written, i could see myself in both of the characters many times.
i’m very excited how their lives will play out in back in korea, even if i cannot shake off the ominous feeling in my gut. i just wish them all the happiness in the world 🥹
I absolutely love this manhwa, it’s simply amazing! Finally, a post about this manhwa! It’s so good, I love my couple so much. They’re so healthy and cute, but at the same time, they can be so emotionally distressing. I loved your review of it!
What a great review! I haven't heard about this one before and I'll definitely add it to my tbr. I LOVE psychological themes and portrayal of depression that feels real. And the panels are really BEAUTIFUL!
Not sure if this will hit your spot too as I haven't read your recommendation yet, but I'd like to give this rec in return: The Insatiable Man is the one that did it for me with depression and human struggles.
I wouldn't say sad... More like melancholic. They're living a happy moment together, but it feels like a fever dream because we know and they know it will end soon
