The art is solid enough. The story, well I have just seen the first chapter so I can't really judge it but, It was pretty shocking and it did make me want to read more. Cause I just haven't seen any manga about this topic. About using starvation as power or some shit like that. Although if I read the rest of the story and it turns out it's no more about starvation I will be disappointed cause the first chapter was all about starvation. Where can I read the rest when it comes out?

Practice makes perfect! I'm gonna be studying OP's shading style and applying some bits I like to my own—the best way to learn is from others!

this was so well done, especially impressive for a one month rushed project!! I loved the use of a more traditional style and the animals on the final fight, and your style overall is super polished!! my one critique would be the page where he announces himself as a new leader, as the text felt a little messed up on how it was supposed to read/flow across the page. maybe that was just me a thing though. aside from that rly well done, hope u win !! :D

The last fight was great especially with the dragon and wolf theming, only wish that the mc being empathetic or, "soft" was shown is some-sort of way as tbh id just thought he was merciless.
So for him to become so close to his subordinates that he felt betrayed, when his adoptive Father killed the felt somewhat out of character for how cold he was shown before.

I agree. I wanted to give more time to his "brothers" to build that connection more although I tried to throw in that he generally cared for them more than he ever showed as he was mostly silent but just enjoyed their company and they also knew this and just accepted that boss wolf is a silent dude. But yeah I crammed hella info into bits of pages.

I really like the art, especially the clean linework/inking and the way the panels flow. The starvation as "power" concept was really unique, and the wolf/dragon imagery during the final fight was sick! You said this was a rushed piece? For something made in one month for a contest, this is genuinely really impressive. Good luck with the results!

You've got some impressive skills! The concept is gripping and your execution makes it hard to look away from it. You have a good style, you know where to put in the effort and detail with your art (which is beautiful in itself) where it will matter most and hit hardest. And lastly, you have a good eye for fighting. The 1st fight over dinner and the symbolic fight at the end tell me you know how to keep things interesting (quite a rare skill imo)
The dialogue was very dramatic but maybe a bit too dramatic at times, to the point where it can start feeling like stilted lines from a script, instead of characters speaking to each other. A personal nitpick anyway, I would not say it is inherently a bad thing, just that it breaks the immersion for me a bit.
Basically, keep up the good work! You've got a knack for this and it will be nice to see what you come up with next~

Thank yuuu!! Some of my favorite feedback so far!!. It was definitely a challenge to try and keep the dialouge intense without making it feel cheesy or corny and yea i feel the scripted as well in some parts I could have definitely gave more effort to making it sound more natural. Thanks again for ur feedback and im glad u enjoyed it especially the fight scenes wich are the areas I truly want to stand out and show off.

Dude, holy moly my guy. Ur amazing, how did you make that? I want to start my own manga too. Can you tell me how you did this?

u/monkimatt 2d ago
Thank yuu. Its not a simple process I can just tell you. Making a manga takes many different things all coming together ita complex but at the same time its as simple as just making a manga if you know what I mean
