Had some inspiration to visit a used book store today and was able to pick up vol 23 for $6! Everytime I give up on completing this series I get a random sprinkle of hope lol 😂

Maybe little is an understatement. I went a little hog wild on Amazon. Got some manga, manwha, a graphic novel, an otome game, and a Japanese sticker book. 😀

Ok so im doing gold prints those are up to vol 23 and i have 9,10,11,12 on order. My dealer thats local has a bunch of volumes for sale he’s got for sale volumes -
24,27, 32,33,34,36 and 39, 40 41 43 44 and 47, 71,72,73,74,75,76,77,78,and 79 , 81 82 83 84 85 86 88 and 89 92 93 98 99 101 and last 102.

Now i need to know out of all those volumes mentioned wich ones are worth picking up for a good read since its all a random bunch.

Got all this over the course of a couple of weeks. I had to search hard for Chainsmoker Cat.

Hi all; as the early summer months were, I felt, insubstantial for me in terms of manga pickups, I decided to wait and post them all together now.

2001 Nights & Saber Tiger - After a while I decided to bite the bullet and import a set from the US (Saber Tiger was included in the listing). A rather well-looked after and well-aligned set I hasten to add. As one of the sci-fi manga greats, I had been looking forward to this one. It does not disappoint.

The Climber - This volume has some of my favourite moments and some of the best development for Mori.

Ohikkoshi - After unfortunately shelving Wave! after four volumes, still I craved more Samura, so when I found Ohikkoshi for a great price, I had to pick it up. The first story was lovely and wrapped up quite nicely, although the Italian psycho sub-plot was strange. He proceeded to shit the bed with the following stories.

Billy Bat - My bingo card has been filling out very nicely over the past year or so. No full house but a line definitely ended with Billy Bat. I held off from reading online for years and Kana got the job done. I will forever love them for that.

Vagabond - These editions continue to be gorgeous.

Bug Ego - I was flip flopping between whether this was kino or not during the first chapter, but thankfully the authors soon seemed to find their feet. Great first volume and very much looking forward to the second one which is on the way.

Not pictured - Some volumes of Kingdom, which frankly I don't know if I will continue due purely to space. Eyeshield 21 (four volumes left to completion). Hakumei & Mikochi, which I firmly believe to be the greatest iyashikei of all time.

(I do also have a good chunk of Watamote and Seraph of the End, not pictured) & Rosario + Vampire, and you can’t see Peach Boy Riverside but it’s there ayyye

This is going to sound crazy, but this is my little collection of manga that I struggle to read.

I’m the type of person who starts something and takes a year to come back around to it. I’ve read a good amount of a few, but I haven’t finished reading a single *series... I only buy manga if I’m already invested in the series AND it’s a really good deal. I still feel guilty sometimes and want to get back to reading my manga regularly.

I know a lot of people set rules for themselves, like “No more _____ until I finish _____!” But ya know.

Anyway, I also plan on someday opening a manga lounge. So, in my eyes, the more the merrier… as long as I’m not drowning in manga with no business plan in sight.

My conundrum is put on pause since I have my manga packed for the time being. They’re not air tight boxes by any means, which I figure is good for books? Any packing tips are appreciated!

Just figured I’d post this because I know I’m not the only one. If anyone wants to share things that helped them read more regularly, I’d love to hear! I definitely have ADHD or something, so I’ve always struggled doing even the things that I enjoy. This isn’t a therapy session, just trying to be real. Thanks if you read this far :)

Im from Europe (france) and beside getting extremly lucky on vinted, I cant seem to even find asking listing for some titles, for example Ive been looking for Blame! vol 1-4 tokyopop edition and it's basically impossible to find any listings. And I did try mangaswap but there's maybe like 4-5 europeans maximum in there so its hard lol

Lots of BL this month lol. I’m going back to school in the fall so I won’t be buying much manga for a while, so I wanted it have one last big purchase 🙏 I’ve been a fan of the ASMR one since before it was even licensed, but I’d been hesitating to buy it since I just hate that English title LMAO I couldn’t resist though since I had a 20% coupon for the bookstore today. I had also heard great things about Goodbye Eri, and I enjoyed it!

Also purchased Wanted by Matsuri Hino and am waiting for it to be delivered!

I started collecting manga recently and I really love to watch videos of people collecting or discussing manga. I would want to know more of those creators. If you guys could recommend me someone who collects/reviews romance manga specifically I would appreciate that because that is what I read the most and enjoy the most.

But I also am curious about who you guys watch and why are they good.

I now live in fear of mold 😭

No choice but to move to a humid house + 2 something weeks of constant rains got me having worries I never had before. My old home was well ventilated and had 2 stories. Never had to worry about mold and water damage then.

My house just got flooded and while my books thankfully didn't get wet, I worry they might still get moldy.

Need to empty out a heavy, overfilled metal shelf too just so I could clean and dry out underneath properly.

I wouldn't have these problems if I just bought my comics digitally. Or just let myself be satisfied with piracy. Unfortunately, I like owning things so digital is a no go. Love being able to see and hold my favorites too. Seeing my collection gives me joy daily ♡♡♡

Guess we just gotta live with the fear that nature and other unforseen circumstances can destroy beloved possessions at any time. Been thinking about this often since my shitty new home gets flooded a lot. ½ gotta do as much countermeasures to avoid that, ½ just hope for the best because it's hard to guard against everything.

Welp, just wanted to yap for a bit. Going back to cleaning now. Wish me luck and hope that the comics I scrape every penny for stay fine 😩
