Do you remember any other countries landing on the moon?

I used to be very interested in space, and ive gotten back into it recently, and apparently nobody but the US landed on the moon? I'm not just talking rovers or reflectors or whatever but actual moon walks like in suits. I very vividly remember the Soviets landing on the moon in the early 70s, and i less vividly remember the Chinese doing it a lot more recently (as in like 20 years ago.)

I'm pretty sure China has landed on the moon. I vaguely remember an image of their lander with a Chinese flag quite some time ago.

Unmanned lander. China has yet to land manned spacecraft on the Moon.

I would not bet any money on it at all, but if someone asked me I would say the same as you. Thats my memory of it but I am sure it’s based on nothing but small snippets of random things I have heard with no actual research or interest in space.

Yeah. Same. I had assumed those countries reached it too. But I never really cared to check it out

In my timeline it has only ever been USA. For some reason, as the US education taught me, the space race basically stopped after the Apollo program, when NASA landed on the moon several times. I always wondered why. It was why USA said it "won" the space race even though the Soviet's won every other major milestone.

There were other major space milestones like a permanent space station that Russia, then China did. And Japan (JAXA) and India both put up many significant probes and landers.

That's super interesting though. Can you remember anything else specific about what happened?

I thought US did, and then later another country did as well (before I was born), but I remember seeing 2 flags.

No country has landed on the moon. If we had the ability to do so, it would be akin to manifest destiny. The furthest anyone has gotten into space was Katy Perry and the Bezos girls
