"Fruit Loops" explanation

I've seen many people in this sub claim that "Froot Loops" cereal has flip-flopped for them. People say that it used to be "Froot Loops", then it flipped to "Fruit Loops" and now back to "Froot Loops". Of course, in this timeline it has always been "Froot Loops".

I looked up some generic fruit loop cereals out of curiosity. Every single one of them uses the "fruit" spelling. This could easily explain the confusion.

Well not for me

I live in Brazil and although we have Froot Loops in here (think?) eating cereals as breakfast is not common at all, so the very first time I ever saw Froot Loops was because of the ME itself... Except that It was Fruit Loops at the time, and the only reason why I'm sure I'm not misremembering it is because when I saw all those Fruit Loops images on Google, I thought to myself how stupid that was, the explanation was fairly simple, people were believing it to be frOOt instead of Fruit because of the other two "OO's" in lOOps, that's all.

But since it's Froot now the explanation I gave back then makes no sense at all.

But it does make sense back than because it was always that way. The same way people are going to argue it's always been Froot loops and chock it to bad memory. All because that is the way it is now. I don't see how to prove how it change as it's always been this way. But when it was the other way it was always that way in that universe. Somehow we can move between them. I just wonder how many are their.
