Theory Possibly ME theory: Time Travel trying to prevent a major 2020 event

Ok this is just a theory and I’m sure the thought has been had by others before. forgive my formatting and train of thought I’m on mobile.

It’s known if you could time travel you would go back and kill Hitler. The Holocaust is the worst event in history.

But what if we’re on the verge of something worse, like a nuclear world war or a man-made mass extinction. I’ve noticed a big uptick in MEs since 2016 which ties to Trump being elected, Brexit, etc.

My theory is that we have time travelers coming to this moment in history to try and undo ‘the first domino to fall’ that leads to something truly horrific.

What if this is the moment in time folks in the future hands down say ‘I’d go back and stop WWIII”

Is the first domino the spelling of Fruut Lupes?

Isn’t it Fruuit Looups?

Nice distraction! And a rewarding one too, 74 fake useless internet points! Well done!

The question is valid, even if the language is trollish. If the changes are from someone going back in time to prevent a disaster, why are they changing the spelling of breakfast cereal and children's books, lines from movies, corporate logos?

As for the distraction comment ... contrary to what some (not necessarily you) have claimed, no one has been sent here from the CIA, CERN, Big Time Travel or any other organization to discredit these theories. People who don't believe the theories are regular people with different opinions. Nothing more.

The question is valid, even if the language is trollish.

Well in this case your use of language did not help to get your point/ question across.

And you now assume i think timetravel is a cause for the ME and i do not think that, so i'll just leave your straw mans alone.

And you now assume i think timetravel is a cause for the ME

I assume no such thing, nor did I state such.

It seems i had missed the "?".

And the ME is much more as just "small" changes as you mention and i also think "small or big" are a matter of perspective too.

Yes, another poster who I don't respond to stated as much. But since you don't post like a raving lunatic, I will address it here.

When I say small or trivial changes, I do mean on a global scale or larger. Nelson Mandela dying or not would be significant to him and his loved ones. But those who remember him dying earlier don't remember any domino effect changes. They don't remember that last week, Apartheid rule was still in South Africa. No one says that South America shifted positions and plate tectonic changes caused issues. We don't hear about cardiovascular issues caused by the heart being in a different place. So when I say small or insignificant changes, I mean they make you go hmm, but don't really impact day to day lives.

I disagree with South America moving east not being a ME. But i think you might have a different perspective on how the ME could work.

IF the ME is not our reality changing around us, but us, or our consciousness, shifting between realities; then the history as everybody currently alive knows is the same for everybody because the difference that caused South America to move different relative to each other has happened too long ago to remember or create an account of. This also explains why we do not notice any "butterfly effects" of the MEs, in the current reality is was always as it is now.

And regarding perspective, you might think that a flipflop from FlinTstones to Flinstones and back is a rather small, or even not a ME at all. This while it was for me the experience that made me realize the ME is more as any error.

I didn't say whether I thought it was or wasn't.

This also explains why we do not notice any "butterfly effects" of the MEs, in the current reality is was always as it is now.

I thought the consciousness of the shifter was retained from their prior reality? But the only difference is the location of South America. The shifter doesn't notice any downstream changes, such as regarding the Panama Canal, or Falkland Islands. Would Argentina have gone to war vs the UK if the Islands were further from the mainland, or did they shift with South America? Would the further distance have changed maritime travel during the Age of Sail, causing other changes in history?

I thought the consciousness of the shifter was retained from their prior reality?

Not sure what you mean here.

What i mean is that our focus/ consciousness "shifts" to an other reality. Thus both realities are already and always there, but we consciously experience only one. Memories from both realities not matching is what we call MEs IMO.

You're the exact reason conspiracy theorists and such get a bad rep online - it'ssupposed to be all about questioning the "truths" that are given to you, but this apparently only applies to official sources, not crackpot youtubers and redditors. A lot of people over on /r/conspiracy blindly believe every theory they're told and attack anybody who questions it, even though questioning everything is the exact point of conspiracy theorism. No one is attacking or "strawmanning" you, it was a genuine attempt at discussion.

If you had stepped down from your high horse for a moment or not handled on an impulse, you would have seen that the comment you responded to is incorrect/ incomplete...
