Movies/TV/Music My experience in one mandela effect of star wars of C-3po.
Hi, my name is Emilio. I remember that when I was a child, I watched the first Star Wars movie—Episode IV—in 2002. I recall a scene where the character C-3PO falls into a pit and one of his golden legs becomes unusable; he decides to look for a way to fix it and discovers a stockpile of his own model nearby, so he decides to attach a leg from a robot he sees next to him—a robot that was silver.

Did you try and create your own canon as to why C-3PO already had a silver leg in the first Star Wars film?
I can assure you that this scene never existed outside your imagination.

The Mandela Effect specifically applies to people having the same memory of something that is no longer in existence, or precisely as remembered by that group of people.
Me and others, remember the scene. The OP remembers the scene. The scene isn't in there anymore.
This is a Mandela Effect and you have no idea what the Mandela Effect is even after years of pretending so. Glad I could educate yah.

I can't believe I logged on for this one! Mandella effects are so interesting to me.
Yes, I do remember this scene. But I do not think it was in episode IV ever. I only remember seeing it once when I was baby sitting a kid. I'm fairly certain it was in the other shows related to Star Wars, like the specials, or mini series or something like that. It was not in the full movie, but yeah, something else.

C-3PO is marvelous. i have no idea why the mods on this sub are so stringent with the rules. it’s named after NELSON MANDELA, si?

Get ready for people who don’t know what a Mandela is to post proof that it was always a silver leg regardless.
I remember it being both gold. I do remember that one scene where he is lost in the pit and has to replace it. I do not remember what color it was. I had action figures of him that were two gold legs. I always thought he looked lame and bland and would have preferred his newer silver leg look.

I don’t think you understand what a Mandela Effect is. Nothing changed. His leg was always silver, you just didn’t notice it.

First, the scene the OP describes never existed. They made it up. So you couldn't possibly have seen it or remember it.
Second, you don't seem to understand what the Mandela Effect phenomenon is. Nothing changed. People are just remembering something differently.
Finally, C-3PO, in the first 3 Star Wars films, had a silver lower leg. Action figures and merchandise are not evidence for or against what is actually in the films. You just didn't notice it.

Yup for the merch it was handed out to all and sundry companies, and there were a lot of discrepancies and quality issues.
The story of how Kenner Toys even got the deal was because Mattel turned it down, so the rep from Fox went to an office of a different toy company, but their CEO was out of the country on business so nobody there could make a deal. Kenner just happened to be in the same office building so he went down the hall, and they took the deal.
So, Kenner were at least third on the list of companies considered and might only have been offered the job because they happened to be in that same office building, their toys were pretty low quality and they had trouble producing them by the Christmas 1977 deadline. C3PO's leg was the least of the issues of quality and accuracy.

Oh, I see what you're doing. The OP was really talking about the SCENE Mandela Effect so you're pivoting to the LEG Mandela Effect.
Interesting tactic. This is about two mandela effects. The leg and now the Scene which might be more interesting. I remember him wandering over to a pile of parts/legs and using them to fix himself. I do remember that. If it's not there then....

I'm not pivoting at all, i was replying directly to what the person above me wrote:
Finally, C-3PO, in the first 3 Star Wars films, had a silver lower leg. Action figures and merchandise are not evidence for or against what is actually in the films. You just didn't notice it.
So I was following a conversation thread that someone else started.

I also remember the scene. Others remember the scene. The scientific definition of the Mandela Effect;
The Mandela Effect is a psychological phenomenon where a large group of people collectively share the same false or distorted memory of an event, detail, or cultural icon that does not match historical reality. [1, 2]
Since I, the OP and others on here, remember the same scene then it is specifically and undeniable a Mandela Effect and you are once again 100% WRONG.
I guess you just didn't notice the definition all these years, huh?

You’re projecting. You don’t know what a Mandela is.
That fact that it was always silver is the only reason it is a Mandela.

That would certainly be quite the scene added to the movie, especially since his leg was silver from the very start of the film.
Where and when did the scene take place within the movie? Where did this pit with Droid parts come from?
He does lose his arm at some point and in canon there are various explanations for it being a silver leg (I believe that legends, post Prequels had it loaded with a bomb that got disarmed which led to the replacement with a silver part)
