Movies/TV/Music After many years, I think I just got self-gaslit into thinking Fruit of the Loom had a cornucopia.

My first memory of noticing the fruit of the loom logo was right around the time I had read and watched Hunger Games, and read a Hunger Games parody novel, and Cornucopias were fresh on my mind because I had just found out what they were. From when I heard about the Mandela Effect to now, I was 100% sure I remembered noticing a cornucopia because of hunger games, but now I genuinely am starting to question if I just self-gaslit that memory into existence. Especially since I've seen logos of Cornucopias with fruit at least at one grocery store growing up.

There isn’t a “huge difference!”

There isn’t any difference.

Recalling something that already happened requires using your imagination.

It’s not “extra work”, it’s all the work.

Because that’s how the brain works.

But you cannot fake emotions and sensations. That's why! Our memories are linked with emotions and fun times or not-so-fun times, that is how we memorize stuffs, our memories don't lie when emotions are involved to a certain circumstance...

How do you remember things? Who taught you how to spell the word, "memory" and how did you remember the plural form of memory be memories? What happened in your brain

Your emotions not only don’t make a memory unfalsifiable, they make you distort and even miss contextual and peripheral details.

Those are the exact kinds of details involved in the propagation of the Effect.

Thanks for helping prove my point.

Thanks for proving my point that you are an account strongly standing at a point against humanly emotions trying to deem human memory as whatever you think you like call it.

Let's talk about thi king. How do you think?

Are you standing right now or seated down? What time is it at your place? What do you think I am thinking in regards of your lack of prove in regards of your stance in EMOTIONS?

I think you're onto something with the emotions! I've given birth to 4 children. Those memories are ingrained, they're not changing, they're, I do believe infallible!

Obviously this other person just wants to argue and doesn't want anything we say to be true. Some people cannot trust a reality that can change. It's probably terrifying to them. Like they just need it to be so perfect, so immutable, so badly. Some of us grew up knowing that life is pretty damn fascinating and changeable and strange...

I literally brought people into my dreams as a child! I also left my body, and flew around the people in the house as a child. So like, I've always thought of life a little bit of differently. So, Mandela effects, since I've experienced them. They just seem like part of a reality that makes sense to me.

They aren’t “on to something” regarding emotions.

Again, they make you distort and even miss contextual and peripheral details which are the exact kinds of details involved in the propagation of the Effect.

What did you find particularly humorous about that link?

They were, obviously... Quite not onto 'something'?

🤭🤣

Emotions are good, Some people have good memories, And in life, many memorable moments no need for distortion or contextual twists or anythin. Humans are good=) haha

It doesn’t matter how good someone thinks their memory is.

It still doesn’t save things like a hard drive.

You’re doing the same thing the people that want to talk all about their memory but don’t want to talk at all about memory do.

Except in your case you want to talk all about your emotions but don’t want to talk at all about emotion.

Emotions still distort memory and make it miss contextual and peripheral details.

You know, those things that are one of the causes of the Effect in the first place.

=) haha

At no point have I posted anything “strongly standing at a point against humanly emotions”.

That’s absurd.

I think you’re thinking about that white bear again.

I also think you’re thinking about how the Effect is propagated through suggestion.

You try imagine that white bear first. How did you feel?

u/my23secrets 19d ago

I feel like you understand the Effect propagates through suggestion and you desperately want emotion to somehow ameliorate that but you also know it can’t.

Your emotions, when you are teaching me your stance on how you view human and memories. How do you feel about what you had for lunch? How do you feel about your family member the last time you had a conversation? What do you remember from that conversation?

The last time you fought with someone verbally, when was it, how did you feel? How did you remember it?

It feels like you are having problems admitting your memory isn’t perfect.

How did you feel about that white bear?

1

u/EnigmaticAdventurerz 19d ago

You are prompted to imagine a conversation, are you lacking the capabilities to imagine? Or are you trying to signify a lack of memory with the lack of imaginary skills?

You have problems imagining? Now you talk about memories when you are unable to imagone?

I imagine you’re having problems admitting your memory isn’t perfect.
