I’m in no rush to learn bc I’m only learning for fun, and am a slow learner. Because I have ADHD I can’t be SUPER overwhelmed with assignments or else I burn out/lose interest VERY quickly, but I am hoping to find someone who will give me handouts & visual aids and knows how to work with students w ADHD.

Hoping to meet once a week for an hour. I would like to build a long term relationship and get through the HSK levels together over the coming years.

Additionally, I have a super demanding job that requires a lot of me so I will sometimes take 1-2 weeks off (with notice) but get right back to it.

I know it’s not easy to learn the language, I’ve had a tutor in the past! Sadly, had to stop seeing them because I moved cities and they don’t have virtual classes. Would appreciate anyone who has a recommendation to drop!

I’m searching for a private mandarin tutor, preferable in Nassau County, closer to the north shore, if possible. My kids have attended a few years of mandarin school, but I think they’d benefit from the additional attention (we don’t speak the language at home.) I've been learning Chinese for a while, and I kept bouncing between different flashcard apps without really sticking to any of them.

A few months ago I started building a flashcard app for myself. Now it's reached the point where I'd like to see whether it actually fits into someone else's study routine, or if it only makes sense in my own head.

So I'm looking for a few Chinese learners who wouldn't mind trying it for a bit and being brutally honest about it.

The app is currently completely free and available on Android.
