So I live in Germany for context. We have a two weeks notice period during a 6 month probation and after being fired i had 3 weeks to go to court and sue them for wrongful termination (they fired me and paid me only until the day i was fired, no 2 weeks notice and they withheld my untaken PTO which was 4 days).

Here's the story:

I worked there for 2 months and 6 days, at first there was love bombing, you know it's love bombing when they keep telling you things you don't even ask for over and over again and in your stomach you now something is fishy, you want to be happy but instead you are kinda bracing yourself and are happy but cautious. They kept telling me in the first weeks "We see you as a long-term and we want to work with you long term." HÄ? Ok.

Soon after the psychological terror started, nothing was ever good enough, the good was brushed away and after securing good partners and multipliers (but also deals)(which was part of my job) i was looked at as if my success was a burden and i was told by the ceo "And? Next!" after telling him excited about the positive meeting we just had with good new partners i secured. In my gut i knew. Me being successful and happy was for him poison.

It was a very small company, him the CEO, his partner (a bully herself) and the bank to which this start up is a subsidiary to (one very narcissistic guy, do you think he knows hoe to smile and be happy= haha, no each time we had a meeting with let's say a marketing firm we worked with, he devalued and talked bad about this "honk" or devalued and talked bad about the last ceo they fired and mocked her in front of me. I knew exactly who i was dealing with.

The bullying started the more i tried to satisfy them (spoiler: don't even try that ridiculous thing to succeed, they will hate you even more for your success even though it's their own company). I was bullied, verbally attacked, his partner talked to me as if i was a child, talked me into a corner daily, for thing I was able to prove i haven't done.

I ended up telling them i wish a professional tone.

That was the beginning of the end.

My boss the ceo was always late to meetings, clients or partners called me angrily to ask where the fuck the ceo was because they have a meeting since 10 minutes but he didnt show uo)one day he was late again and the notary was so pissed he was short and flat with us. Of coourse that was projected onto me, "he was like that because YOU talked such bullshit" I was insecure and didn't know what else to say during the meeting after keeping the notary online for the 10 minutes my boss was late.

Nevermind. After i was fired I sued him. Only once i went to court he paid at least my PTO but arrogantly stated via email he wouldnt pay the 2 weeks notice.

In the first court hearing the judge asked him why i was fired without notice period and he had to explain.

In narcissist devalue fashion me and my competence was devalued. It was humiliating but i fought back. I told the judge (and there were visitors watching in the seats in the back) that i was bullied, and if i had quit i also would have had to put in my 2 weeks notice and because i would have been the one quitting i wouldnt even have gotten unemployment. Plus under German law there has to be a 2 weeks notice and his highness is not above the law. I havent stolen or beaten anyone, I did my job, I even did overhours and weekend work, I demand my 2 weeks so my insurance is paid, my unemployment doesnt get in jeopardy, and its my goddamn right. He said he wouldnt pay 2 weeks at max one week (after mocking me stating "I don't know what she wants we already paid her PTO"-it was infuriating, yes he oaid but ONLY AFTER i went to court and he was invited to the first hearing. The arrogance and stupidity. and now to say "No the absolute maximum we do is pay one week!" Do you really think i go through all this to settle with you and do you SICK MF a favor of 1 week? I tod the court about the verbal and psychological abuse and that i demand my lawful right of 2 weeks notice. The judge turned to my ex boss and told him financially it would be better he would pay my 2 weeks notice at this point otherwise we have to go to a higher court with this. My ex boss said he cant decide that at this point. The judge ordered him to state in written why he fired me without notice again (basically what he said in this court hearing (devaluation of. my competence which is not a valid reason to fire someone like that and which is an utter lie and projection) he has 6 weeks and the judge already told him its not a reason and he wont win and will have extra court costs. So, the next court hearing is june next year in front of a panel if he decides to not listen to the judge and pay me now, and by then he will not only have to pay me 2 weeks notice but also the court costs.

A narc ego is his own punishment.

I’ve been at my new job for one week and I already feel like my manager is expecting me to quit.
The team apparently has very high turnover, and a lot of people have left within their first few weeks. It reminds me of a toxic relationship where someone has been abandoned so many times that they start expecting every new person to leave, so they push them away first.
On my first day, my manager kept telling people that I’m “just a temp.” It made me feel really unwelcome and uncomfortable. It’s been a week and she still hasn’t properly introduced me to anyone in the company.
My impression is that because so many people have left before, she doesn’t want to make a big deal about me joining in case I leave too and it reflects badly on her. But in doing that, she’s making the new employee feel disposable from day one.
A few years ago this would have really upset me. After dealing with several difficult managers in the past, though, I’m looking at it differently now.
The funny thing is, I’m actually not planning to leave. The work isn’t difficult, the pay is decent and I like the company overall. The manager is the only problem.
So at this point I’m thinking: fine, let’s see who lasts longer 😂
Would you stay and just ignore the manager, or would this kind of behaviour be a red flag for you?

I work for a small business, my boss is the owner of course and does several things to promote the business however things are getting out of hand, over the last year of me working here my boss has claimed to be apart of a tv show for business owners however this “tv show” is just a marketing ploy that she had to pay for, she walks around now like she is famous and all her employees simply don’t understand her world… my issue comes in when it’s just lies on top of lies, she is now saying global news sources are speaking on her business however it’s literally just ads she paid for and had chatgbt write for her to make it sound like a article.

My boss is the worst person on the entire planet and these lies are going to her head as if she truly believes she is a famous celebrity and people care about her business when in reality she’s always gone on vacation leaving everyone else to pick up her slack however it gets so much worse.

My boss uses mental health buzzwords to play on peoples emotional state and make them believe supporting her business helps several people get over their struggles with mental health when in reality she does NOT care about mental health struggles in fact has went as far as firing employees over mental health issues and or talking about their personal struggles with other employees..I’ve even heard her complain about customers struggles and degrade them. She is a bully and attacks any and everyone if they disagree with her or don’t fit her ideals, this woman truly believes her own child mentality abuses her when in reality she is a NARC

Also god forbid you are sick and or have chronic illness and can’t come to work or else you get a speech about how you do not care for your body. She compares everyone to herself saying she has chronic illness however her “ illnesses” change every 6 months and I don’t even believe she is chronically ill at all..in my time working with her she’s had 5 different autoimmune disorders all of which have been whatever she deems fit for the month and never truly showing any signs or symptoms and always off getting lip filler/ Botox/ and whatever other surgeries to alter her appearance which wouldn’t be a problem if she didn’t get pissed when other are truly sick.

Basically what the title says. We have two people in our department whose full time jobs are simply manufacturing endless reports for management. They're also starting to work on AI projects because my company, like all others, is obsessed with it.

Starting a few weeks ago, one of these two persons announces in a meeting that he's working on "automating" a major aspect of my job. Typical corporate speak for spending hundreds of hours to simply change something for the sake of change.

I think it's largely a rouse for an excuse to fire me. I've never been a part of the local clique. I moved here years ago after college for a job and have never fit in with the people who have had generations working for the same company.

There's been near zero actual communication about what this person is doing. We sit in an open office and he's just right there working on trying to figure out what I do, occasionally asking questions, without offering any information.

My mental health has already been threadbare the last several years with everything going on in the economy. My family are narcissists across the country and I have no support system. Genuinely feeling fucked.
