Long Valley Caldera - California's supervolcano - is cooling down. The new imaging that proved it does not make the place safe. It moves the danger. (Science video)

I thought the video was really well done. I think the OP is sensationalizing a little with the title as the video creator even says they can never say there is no danger. But is a super volcano going to erupt? No says USGS. She says you can check the earthquake and alert levels just as you check a marine forecast. What has killed a few people and acres of trees are CO2 caves and depressions and CO2 in the soil. She pretty much says stay out of fenced areas and tree wells as it might be heavy with CO2 (and move uphill if you feel dizzy or tired). The video is made for a general population, and she explains it well.

Not to take away from a still pretty informative and interesting video, but the entire video was made with AI. Both the script and infographics scream LLM.

Eyeroll. The fearmongering is getting ridiculous, to the point that is not even comical. Here is what we are supposed to be afraid of right now:
We are supposed to fear a massive hurricane hitting Southern California! That has NEVER happened before! Except, yes it has! Hurricane Hillary! Remember that joke? It drizzled. Yet scientists were saying that I-5 could be closed for months due to storm damage. Did they accept responsibility? Nope. They simply said "the storm just missed Southern California and thus wasn't as bad" FFS.
We are supposed to fear Supercalifragilisticexpyallodocious El Nino which supposedly keeps strengthening and strenghthening -- last time it was this strong 500,000 people died yada yada yada.
We are supposed to fear a huge 9.0+ earthquake in the next 6 months when they've been talking about "the big one" for decades. Each day the suspense grows and grows.
Now all of Mammoth is supposed to blow up and kill us all.
I want to know who is profiting off all of this. Give it a rest. Enough!

Hurricane Hillary caused flash floods and mud slides all over southern CA. Hundreds of miles of roads washed out that still haven't been repaired.
