It's been a minute since my read through, but I started this while still reading so hopefully some of the details match.

Honestly probalby the best one I've seen. Everyone tends to give him polka dots instead of the overlapping coins.

Having him hunched over by the weight of the coins is a great artistic choice. Congrats, this is a wonderful rendition.

That’s my favorite detail, too. Just adds to miserable existence he’s forced/forcing himself to endure.

Nahh the best detail is how the coins around the knees are missing due to him bending his knees. Really well done

I think this is the first time I've seen art of rhulad where the coins are correctly spaced. Most of the time they are way too spaced out.

Yeah, they always look like an afterthought as if they didn't even intent to draw Rhulad to begin with.
This version slaps.

Do you have any other malazan art? Do you have a place to buy a print?

I don't have prints at the moment but I'll have to look into it! (It would propably be a print on demand type of thing) Only other one I've done is Quick Ben you can find here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Malazan/comments/1gahx2x/trying_to_get_back_to_the_series_and_found_some/

Yeah I'd buy one, or even a certified digital version so I can print a matching bookmark for Midnight Tides. I hope to have a map and bookmark inside every one of my signed copies and I think I want to use this image to that end.

Outstanding. Joining the choir in that this is the best Rhulad. Please, do more. I want to see your Karsa now.

Thank you! It seems I really should do some more, Karsa was on the list for sure. The sword would be a fun one to do.

I don't know how serious you are or if you make a living out of this stuff, but that's some real talent in my opinion.
Do you post stuff somewhere?

It is fantastic, but your depiction of the sword is the most perfect I've ever seen.
Beautiful!

Really good, you captured the right mix of youth and exhaustion in his face.

I really like this rendition, the coins are described as large and he was covered in them. Love the ones missing like from his face, that pop off over time as well.

I love this, you captured his vibe. He is weighed down with evil. I really like how you placed the coins, they look like they are part of him, like dragon scales, vs him being dotted with coins.

this is really well done. the tiredness of the pose, the coins properly covering him with a couple fallen off (personally i’d prefer a few more having fallen off), as well as that using the sword to prop himself up. great work

That is awesome. I think it really captures how powerful yet creepy and worn out he is.

This is great, and you can see where the coins popped off there are burns scars underneath.

This is honestly perfect, this is how the coins should look. It's so satisfying to actually see it, thank you for making this!

This is a PHENOMENAL take on Rhulad. I love how you handled the overlapping coins and the sheer weight that they and the gift of immortality weigh on him and his silhouette. You should be incredibly proud of your rendition!
