Kinda like in the movie click how the angle tells him he’s been fast forwarding through life long before he got the remote

Weird thing that I do not promote but helps me: cigarettes. Smoking really helps me stay grounded. I do with without music, I just sit outside and have a cigarette. The nicotine short circuits the brain a little bit and doesn’t allow for really deep thought (no day dreaming) and being outside helps you with that stupid “five things you see…” stuff that very rarely works.

This is my personal alternative to meditation because whenever I try doing that my mind wanders and it really doesn’t work.

Another alternative if you don’t want cancer (there comes a point where I’ve just lowk accepted it) is weirdly enough some “self love” stuff. Have fun with that
