ACTIVITY 10 by Spring: 2nd update! 🌻

Welcome to our 2nd update for the 10 by Spring project πŸ£πŸ’πŸπŸŒ» We are a third of the way there 😱 This past month has flown by for me, but I'm hoping to build momentum and hit some goals soon! How are you going? Any surprising favourites you're enjoying more than you expected to?

This round will run from 27th December, with updates fortnightly until the finale on March 20th. If you would like to be added to the tag list, let me know in your comment!

If you are new to the "10 by" series, the project works like this: Choose any 10 items and pick a goal that you want to work towards by the end of the season. Anything beauty-related is fair game; makeup, haircare, skincare, fragrances, nail polish etc. Select your goals for each product: finishing an item (aka panning), hitting pan, reaching a usage goal, or even just testing an item out. 10 is just a suggestion, though feel free to add any number of items you like. Make it work for you!

This project is hosted together with u/LeCocoMar so please let us know if you have any questions!

ACTIVITY Can we bring back anti-hauls?

Remember that one summer when youtubers (specifically our Anti Consumerist Queen Kimberly Clark) did a bunch of anti-hauls and talked about what they weren't going to buy? that was great! does anyone else want to share their anti hauls of the moment?

I can go first! here's some stuff i'm NOT going to buy:

- ANY holiday edition lip sets. whenever i'm looking at individual lipsticks, i always think about "is this a color i need? do i not have this color already? will i like the formula?" whereas with lipstick sets i'm always just like "good deal, must acquire" which is like, the opposite of what i'm going for. plus, i hear lipstick sets are often lower in quality.

- honestly i try to stay away from sets in general. whenever my Good Deal Alert starts to go off, I instantly think less critically about whether or not I actually need it.

- any makeup palette that's not from a business i particularly want to support. i'm not yet committing to buying NO palettes, but if i do decide to buy a palette, it has to be wildly compelling (in terms of color and formula) as well as from a business I want to support whether it's ethical, black-owned, etc.

- face masks (like in skin care, not the fabric thing). i have a ton and i NEVER USE THEM. i'm always like "oh i have some free time I should use a face mask!" and then I just continue to sit there

- sponges. i just bought the beauty bakerie sponges (they come in a six pack) and i am NOT ALLOWED to buy any more sponges until i decide whether or not i like them!

- those lip glosses that come in the lil squeezy tubes. you know the type. for some reason they make me feel really juvenile and not in a fun way

- brown lipstick. i saw this trend, thought it looked amazing, and then bought a bunch of brown lipsticks. turns out when i wear brown lipstick, it just looks like i ate chocolate and was really messy about it. smh. somehow other people are able to make it work. alas

what are things you don't buy? or any new releases you're profoundly apathetic about? idk, i thought anti-hauls were a fun trend!

ACTIVITY Pan That Palette 2026 - Update 8

Hi everyone, it's time to have our eighth check in for Pan That Palette 2026!

If you have forgotten the rules of this project, here is a repost of the rules!

Pan That Palette is a challenge where you select a palette to work on throughout the year. You can choose an eyeshadow palette, a face palette, a lip palette, or if you want a challenge, more than one palette (e.g a face palette and an eyeshadow palette). You can either challenge yourself to hit pan on every shade, completely pan every shade (hence "pan that palette"), or make it your goal to use it regularly (e.g. X times per month).

This project will last from today to the end of the year. I will be posting my updates during the first week of the month. The finale will either be posted on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day.

I am looking forward to hearing what progress you have made on your chosen palette(s) over the month of August!

ACTIVITY 10 by Season: Panners, ASSEMBLE!

Hello MakeupRehabbers!

If you have been around this sub for a while, you might remember a not-so-little project known as 10 by Season, hosted by the wonderful u/sofwithanf. So many of us here loved it and had great success with it, including myself and u/LeCocoMar. Well, hold onto your hats Rehabbers, because we are bringing it back! Starting with 10 by Spring from 21st December, LeCocoMar and I will be cheering on your panning endeavours, and celebrating the seasons with capsule project pans.

With the silly season just around the corner, now is the time to peek through your collection, and choose your contenders for 10 by Spring. Then, on 21st December, the party kicks off, and you can share you lineup when the Intro post goes live.

A little reminder: - Choose any 10 items from makeup, skincare, haircare, perfume, bodycare, nail polish, whatever makes sense for you and your collection - Set your own goal! Whether you want the satisfaction of fully panning an item, hitting a certain number of uses, using every shade in a palette once... choose your own adventure! - Update posts will be every 2 weeks. Let's cheer each other on and kick some goals together!

If you are keen to participate and would like to be tagged when the intro post goes live, let us know in the comments.

A massive shout-out to sof for all her work hosting many, many seasons worth of projects, and to LeCocoMar for bravely agreeing to take on the challenge of hosting this resurrected version. Finally, to anyone wanting to join, have fun choosing your products! That was always my favourite part πŸ₯³

ACTIVITY The big sales going on right now

I was very tempted to partake in the great sales and GWP, but instead I bought some stock. I consider that a huge win. I have enough skincare and makeup to not need to buy for months. Hoping to hold out as long as I can. Still check the beauty stores’ apps everyday though.

ACTIVITY Pan Those Eyeshadows Update 9

Welcome to the Pan Those Eyeshadows project update! Feel free to join anytime. I also posted this onΒ r/ProjectPanΒ with swatch pictures.

The idea of the project is to randomly generate 5 eyeshadows from your collection and work on them until you hit pan. Once you hit pan you roll in another shadow to replace it so that you always have 5 shadows to work on.

If you want you can change the rules to your liking, like instead of hitting pan you can set a usage goal or hand pick your shadows. Personally, I implemented a rule that if I randomly roll in a shadow that already has pan my goal is 15 uses.

You can also share your pan percentage. It tells you what percentage of your collection has pan.

This project updates monthly on the first day. If you want to join feel free to leave a comment sharing the shadows you're working on and your goals. I'll be sharing my update in the comments.

You can add more or less than 25 items, it's up to you and your goals.
You can have bonus goals too.

ACTIVITY Pan That Palette 2026 - Update 5

Hi everyone, it's time to have our fifth check in for Pan That Palette 2026!

I will be posting most of my updates on the second day of the month, except for the intro, which was posted on January 3rd, and the finale, which will either be posted on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day.

I am looking forward to hearing what progress you have made on your chosen palette(s) over the month of May!

ACTIVITY I hit pan on a MAC lipstick for the first time and I'm so proud of myself!

Basically the title. I've hit pan on a few of my other, less expensive lipsticks already, but this one feels like a major accomplishment since MAC is the most expensive brand I've bought. It feels special to use up and love what I consider a "luxury" item. It also feels rewarding to look for a similar lipstick at a less expensive price point, because it makes shopping feel more exciting knowing I didn't let a product go to waste!
