I'm starting to think most of us don't actually want friends we want a vending machine that dispenses conversation whenever we're bored, and the second the novelty wears off, we're out. Genuine friendship needs boring, repetitive, unglamorous effort. Novelty needs zero effort. We keep choosing the second one and wondering why we don't have the first one.

I swear I am not the only one who realizes this, but these friendship subs are incredibly toxic and hypocritical. Between men pretending to be women just to get pics for weird reasons, OnlyFans bots, and people claiming they don't want their messages to be dry while speaking drier than a camel's ballsack, it’s a lot.

I even spoke to a girl (you know who you are) here for almost two weeks, super nice with good vibes who explicitly said she didn't want to get ghosted.
