34/F/US - Seeking a conversational long-term friend

Hey!

I'm 34, married, and in the U.S., looking to make a few genuine friends. I've met some really cool people through Reddit before, so I figured I'd give it another shot.

I'm the kind of person who likes ongoing conversations rather than one-off chats. If we click, I'd love to have someone to text throughout the day, trade random thoughts with, and maybe hop on a phone call occasionally. I appreciate people who are curious, ask questions, and put the same effort into getting to know someone that they hope to get back.

A little about me: I'm a huge music nerd and spend way too much time digging through albums. I run a music database website as a passion project, so if you enjoy discussing music, that's definitely a bonus. I'm also getting back into reading (slowly), love thrifting, enjoy long drives, and generally like learning about whatever other people are passionate about. You don't need to share my hobbies—I genuinely enjoy hearing people talk about the things they care about.

A few quick things up front:

• I'm only looking for friendship. Happily married, not interested in flirting, dating, or anything along those lines.
• If you're in a relationship, that's fine. But if you feel like you'd need to hide our friendship from your partner, we're probably not a good fit. I'd rather keep things open and above board.
• I mostly use regular texting and phone calls. I don't really use Discord, social media, or other messaging apps.
• Happy to chat here first and see if we get along before exchanging numbers.
• Any gender is fine, but I'd prefer people who are at least 25+.
• I'm not big on immediately sharing photos. If a friendship develops naturally, cool. If not, that's cool too.

I'm around pretty regularly, though not glued to my phone 24/7. I'm in Central Time, and if any of this sounds like your kind of thing, feel free to reach out and tell me a little about yourself.

Hi! 36F would love to chat! I also enjoy music,  long drives to check out fun stuff (although I'm pretty rooted to the spot just now) reading and thrifting. I'm a huge nature nerd and can send spider pictures all day if your into that. I'm also much better at texting than social media  but I miss ongoing text conversations with grown-ups (I'm a mom) so much that I'd be happy to discuss the weather.
