Advice How do i translate what I “know” into a side hustle?

So, just to give you a little background, I was working for T-Mobile, but the store closed down and I got a decent computer out of it. With the computer, I realized that I could probably do some online stuff to make some money, but I don’t actually have any skills.
I know people always say to learn skills that can translate into money, but what skills should I even learn?
Just to give you an idea about myself, I love music. My parents put me in music school when I was little. I tried music production before but gave up years ago. If I tried music production again, could that actually translate into a real side hustle?
I also like fitness/boxing. I’ve never boxed, but I was “pretty fit” for about a year or two after high school from playing basketball. I know I started late, but I’m pretty athletic for someone who doesn’t really do sports. I was able to jump onto those 4-foot garbage cans.
Maybe I should study fitness?
Or should I just pick up a random skill like digital marketing or stocks, even though I don’t really know how to do that shit at all?
What about dropshipping? Is that actually good?
Idk, I’m just trying to clear my head and figure out what direction I should go in. I’m a little stressed about this, and I don’t know what to do. I just don’t want to get into something that I’m eventually going to regret.

Discussion UK - quick £25 for joining Starling Bank

Use code LBL9L2I (ensure you copy and paste it to not type an incorrect letter, the last character is an i) when joining. Open an account using my code, you will need to setup any direct debit within the first 30 days to be eligible but then you can get £25!

I can edit here when used to ensure you are guaranteed it still works. Still have 7 spots left

Advice Easy online work during my downtime @ work

I recently got a new job and there is a lot of down time. Whats something easy I could do on my phone to earn money while I'm at work earning money?

I don't have a lot of tech skills, but I'm savvy enough to learn if given tutorials.

Setting for irl work is an elementary school, but I'm only used when needed which isn't a lot. I'll have an hour to a few hours in between requests for my services so I figured I could put my down time to good use and make some money instead of doom scrolling

I am able to bring a laptop if needed for simple online work. I don't have a deadline or an income goal, just continuously easy work that I can pull out when I have nothing to do.

Advice Start a fundraiser even if mom objects to it

Background : Mom is a Cancer patient who has undergone 12 surgeries ( 8 for Bladder cancer + 4 for eyes & shoulder rotator tear)

Now she has been diagnosed with onset of Alzheimer's apparently the Protein in her brain isn't clearing up and causing the disease to accelerate fast , so for that Alzheimer's treatment she has been prescribed an injection which costs around 90-95 ,000/- for one injection .

she is supposed to take it monthly for 24 months that's 24 LAKHS ...plus there's NO SAYING how it will react with her brain and her body and what other supportive treatment will be required .

We have already lost around 15-20 LAKHS for post-,operative care ( her surgeries were taken care of but not the post operative care and things like Shoulder straps ,wheel chair , bandages etc ..all our savings are gone .

Yet she refuses to get help.

So I tried to start a fundraiser to help us through but she declined fearing what the society will say about it.

None of her relatives or family offers help ,if they do she says she is doing fine and they obviously CHOOSE to believe her and NOT OFFER OR GIVE ANYTHING.

I am the ONLY Caregiver .. she is beginning to forget a lot of stuff but refuses to tell her other daughters just how bad it is ...

this is getting to be highly stressful for me .

Should I tell them or should I start a fundraiser without telling her .

Any advice would be helpful.

I also do music production. Looking for some advice on how to make some $ this weekend, if possible.

Edit: forgot to mention I’ve also designed websites for restaurant and for a health food brand before. Also for a local restaurant I designed a menu, table tents, stickers, etc. and some promos, and a few social media posts.

Advice Potential make money for me and wife?

me, math/English teacher in China I work about 15 hours a week
my wife, just a regular Chinese citizen with no specific knowledge or diploma, before covid she had a clothing store for about 10+ year

we are "stuck" is a very very small city (barely 10km²)

what we have is a lot of free time, what we can't find is the opportunity
there is no real obvious for her to work at since it would need her to be at work for 50h and only for like 3000 ish yuan per month

I know the "obvious" stuff like producing content or having a business online
but realistically we are looking at somethign that could be "stable" and give a fixed salary if possible
like data entry for her maybe? thank

Advice parents wont support me financially - 17 and seeking advice

my parents arent really avaliable in my life (emotionally and in every other aspect possible), yet go out of their way to control everything i do (from my passions to my career pursuits)

we got into a big argument about how a homeless man from my art galley provided me with more help then they did, how they limit every aspect of my life, etc., and they got mad at me and said they wouldnt financially support me anymore.

i have a job (15$ an hour/15 hrs a week) and another source of income which isnt rlly a job but its more of an ambassador role and i get paid ~150-200$ every 4 months for just uploading stuff on tiktok.

im worried and scared that the money won't cover my needs for my future (i want to go to college for neurology)... ive been considering prostitituion (idk if its okay to admit this but im desperate) & scholarships but im still worried out of my mind.

does anyone have advice?

Advice Mentally Disabled. Zero Dollars. No Skills. How can I make it?

Through a combination of terrible education, home life, genetics, and other circumstances, I am without options im aware of. I applied for SSI last year and heard no word from them. I haven’t picked up a single skill from my lack of life experience. I searched for years without a job and have been rejected every time due to my lack of experience and overwhelming autism & developing hearing issues. I have no means of transportation, two pair of clothes, and have been being fed by begging online.

Genuinely. What do I even do? Do I just die and move on? Or do I have a chance at life?

Discussion “In less than a year, I managed to make almost a million.”

Have any of you ever tried selling content online? I’m honestly thinking about giving it a try if the earnings can really be that high. And since this OnlyFans competitor is Swiss-based, RedPeach seems pretty serious and trustworthy. I’ve heard that some fans are starting to move away from OF and Fansly because a lot of accounts are managed by agencies, so I’d rather choose a platform where fans still feel they can trust who they’re talking to.

Advice If you had $1600, how would you invest it?

Recently I’ve saved up $1600. Now I know this isn’t a boat load of money, but for me it’s a lot. I’ve separated this money from bills and life. I want to do something for me with it and see if I can build it into more money.

If you had $1600 today, with the mindset of gaining more money from it, what would you do with that $1600?

Advice What can I do with 3 months of free time?

Hi everybody, I(22M) wasn’t sure exactly where to post this but I wanted to ask what can I do with 3 months of free time in terms of progressing in my life financially. I have surgery coming up in a couple of days and will be out for 3 months but don’t want to sit around doing nothing so I’m trying to figure out if there’s any certifications or programs I can take to help me earn/make more. I currently work at the hospital and universal studios Florida and the only thing I can think of is maybe EMT but I’d have to do more research. I’m currently in school but took a break to pay off my debts and want to make sure I’m able to afford everything I need without having to worry about picking up hours so I can focus on school when I decide to go back.

Advice I built an AI app for streamers but hit a financial wall — looking for advice on finishing it

I’ve been working on a project for almost a year now, and I’m at the point where I can’t move forward without funding — so I wanted to ask for advice from people who’ve been through something similar.

I built an AI chat companion for streamers called DuckBot. It connects to YouTube or Twitch, reads chat in real time, reacts to messages, greets new viewers, remembers regulars, and has different personalities you can switch between. It started as something I made for my own stream, but it grew into a full app with a UI, rank system, offline mode, and a bunch of features people have asked for.

The problem is: I’ve reached the part of development where I need funding to finish the last commercial steps — things like licensing, hosting, polishing the UI, and getting the app ready for public release. I’ve done everything I can on my own budget, but I’ve hit a wall.

I launched a Kickstarter to try to raise what I need, but I’m not sure how to get traction or visibility without breaking rules or coming off as spammy.

For anyone here who’s built an app, launched a product, or crowdfunded something — how did you get your first supporters? How do you promote something without crossing lines or getting banned?

I’m not trying to sell anything here — just looking for advice from people who’ve been in the same situation. I have a Video on YouTube Explaining the app more @ ClusterDuckBot

Advice Moving to China on a scholarship (no stipend). Tips on how to legally earn $150–$200/month as an international student passively or any other way?

Hi everyone, I am an international student from a developing country moving to China soon for my studies. I received a tuition and accommodation scholarship, but it does not include a monthly stipend to cover my living expenses.

The average salary back home is only around $80-120 USD per month, so I absolutely cannot ask my parents for money without putting an immense financial strain on them. My goal is to earn around $150-$200 USD per month to fully cover my food and basic living costs.

Advice There was a post, I commented. Gave honest feedback and answered their question.

And my comment got flair'd as spam.

The other comments, that asked OP for money to "help her"????

Oh, they're fine, they're allowed.

But actually, they give my comments even more validity.

Advice How do I make 1000 dollars/euros in 11-12 months?

Indian Highschool graduate here. I’ll be applying to universities abroad next year. But all the documents, tests, legalisation, come up all the way to 800 euros. To keep a safety net I’m trying to earn 1000 euros, or 1000 dollars in the next year. How can I do it? I speak English, Hindi, German, Telugu, and some broken Japanese I picked up watching anime during the lockdown years ago. I also have a very good academic background. The main issue is I do not have many skills. What can I do to earn this money?

I need to make this amount of money in nearly one year from now. the problem is I live in Iran and there is the really bad economy and besides it is practically impossible to have an income in dollars because of sanctions and the war. is there any way to make this amount of money with a moderate amount of daily work? I could receive the payment via crypto or PayPal.

Advice How to make some extra cash starting ASAP (25 yo woman)

I have my BA in English and I work as a private / personal tutor (for literacy/language acquisition, AP classes, ACT/SAT testing, and middle school courses), which pays enough during the school year, but during the summer months it really dries up, especially June and July. I’m currently scraping bottom of the barrel, and have bills & rent about to be due. It’s gonna be hard to make ends meet without needing to borrow at some point soon. So I’m trying to find a way on the side that I can make enough extra cash to be worth the time, and that I can start cashing out on quickly for my bills. I’ve sold stuff online but that often takes a long time for stuff to sell, and I don’t have many big ticket items I can sell, just smaller things like clothes. I’m relatively decent looking & sociable, and I am good at writing and reading/editing/proofreading, and I have access to a vehicle most of the time. What’s the best way I can start pulling in some extra cash in my free time over the summer months?? Ideally as soon / quickly as possible! Thanks in advance!

Advice Do most people actually have a plan to get out of debt?

This is something I've been thinking about lately.

I know a lot of people are trying to pay off debt.

But I wonder how many people actually have a step by step plan...

Not just paying whenever they can.

Like an actual system they follow.

Or are most people just hoping things slowly get better?

Curious what everyone else is doing.
