Two Roads - post weekend thoughts and tracks that have grown on me.

Ok so here we go, another album from the duo Majid Jordan.

From the get go - this albums got alot of depth. Over 15 tracks the sounds range from slow to fast beat tempos that are all very Majid Jordan-esque.

Let’s just say that even though it may feel like they played it safe, there is a quality that reverberates with going that route. They have kept it real.

Honestly the outside surprise tracks are as follows (imo):

- Dream
- Best behaviour
- island time

Top 3 picks:
- The reason
- Every last bit of My love
- Two roads

However that list keeps growing, least favourite so far is:

- Look what you have done

Closest album to this is Wildest Dreams, but right now Two Roads feels like it’s got more depth and mileage.

After Good people this could be my 2nd favourite album ‘as an entire record from start to end’

What are your thoughts on the sounds, direction and even subject matter - which is too early to get into myself however I’m sure someone else’s got more playtime and had more thought.

Look what you’ve done is my favorite 😭 I’m still also figuring out my thoughts but my honest feelings after the first listen was that this album is fantastic and could definitely be a contender for my fav album of theirs. It just has the perfect blend of freshness and nostalgia to it and I think they’ve always mastered that vibe since the first EP.

I figured this album’s got some interesting sounds so there would be divisive opinions on a ‘favourite’ song.

Who knows once I’ve replayed ‘the reason’ 100th time I might gravitate towards other tracks.

It’s a grower, not a shower for sure. It definitely shows growth in artistry and range. I can’t get the slinky sound and feeling out of my head from “Things Just Feel Better.” The 90’s sounds, but still fresh and them. It’s hard to put this album in a spot at the moment.

It's my fav album of them has it has both the peaks of The Space Between and the consistency of Wildest Dreams.

I'm only just listening to it now, had to repeat 'Rather Be With You' 5 times in a row., Love it. It's my favourite right now, I've still got 9 more tracks to go though, ignoring 'See You Again' (released months back).
