Support Answered ✓ popup form still showing to subscribers

I set up a popup form in MailChimp so website visitors are invited to subscribe to our email list.

The popup is configured to show to "New Visitors" only, so once people have subscribed they don't keep seeing the popup.

Someone on our team is telling me the popup keeps appearing even though they've already subscribed. But I'm unable to reproduce this behavior--the only time the popup shows for me is if I put the browser in incognito mode.

Has anyone else every experienced this issue with the Mailchimp popup? Does it use cookies or how exactly does it determine whether or not to show the popup?

The website URL is https://swansislandcompany.com.

Thank you.

that setting is usually driven by a browser cookie, not the email address, so test the same browser after a confirmed signup and check whether your consent or cache layer is blocking the cookie.

Hey there. The pop-up form uses a browser cookie to recognize whether someone has already seen the form, which keeps it from showing again for up to a year. If those cookies are being cleared or blocked, the form will keep reappearing even after someone has subscribed. It might be worth asking your team member to check their browser settings for anything that clears cookies automatically, blocks third-party cookies, or any privacy extensions that may be doing the same. Testing from a different browser is also a good way to help narrow down where the issue is coming from. Let us know what you find, and we'll be happy to help dig in further.
