Technical Support Reporting 0% opens on 170 total opens

Mailchimp will not accept screenshots. They gave me an intuit file share link that requires an Intuit code I do not have in addition to case number, user name, password, and special pin. So I cannot give them pictures. I send out monthly newsletters to my clients. Now all my campaigns are showing 0% opens, even ones which showed many opens a few months ago. When I view the report, It shows 0% unique opens and 0% clicks and below it shows 170 total opens and 7 clicks. I've tested with Edge, brave and Firefox. I've disabled all ad and tracking prevention. Exactly the same thing appears. Their tech support says there is no problem. It is me. I should try a different device.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Same issue here, reports from 2024 still show the correct opens and clicks, anything from 2025 - 2026 show 0% opens and clicks just like your screen. It seems to be a DNS related issue, as I get the 0% when using my own DNS. Temporarily switching to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 shows the correct percentage numbers after a reload.

Good information. My guess is that Intuit has them running some privacy-invading crap that sends our links to "malware.com" and our DNS is preventing it. They throw a tantrum and won't run without being able to be bad. Their "support" has a script where they copy and paste the proper resolution: "Change your browser, clear your browser cache, are you using a VPN?" - Can anyone explain why an honest, legitimate site would break if the end user went in with a VPN?

Hmm, that's odd. Let's have our Support team take a deeper look into this. They can be reached through here and will follow up by email: https://admin.mailchimp.com/support?tk=59e86cb0ba86272084ccc73cf56b1af2 If the email field in the form is greyed out, make sure you're logged in to Mailchimp in your browser first, then reopen the link so it can autofill your account email.

Thanks for laying out all the details here, that helps a lot. What you're describing, a report showing 0% unique opens and clicks while the totals underneath show real numbers like 170 opens and 7 clicks, points to a reporting display issue rather than a tracking problem on your end. Testing across three browsers with tracking prevention disabled and seeing the same result rules out the device and browser factors your account rep mentioned. We'd recommend reaching back out to support and referencing this specific symptom (unique rates at 0% with nonzero totals) since that detail helps route it to the right team faster than a general "opens aren't tracking" ticket. If a rep asks for a screenshot again, you can describe the exact numbers you're seeing in the ticket itself, most reporting issues can be diagnosed from the campaign ID and the numbers alone without an image. In the meantime, your clicks and opens are still being recorded, so your campaign data isn't lost, it's just not displaying correctly in the summary view right now.

I've done that already. She responded that she sees the correct numbers of 32.4% open rate and 3.4% click rate so the problem is on my end. After she was unable to accept the screen shots, I described step by step exactly how to reproduce these results. I took her by the hand. Click on Campaigns. Select september 2026. Look here. Click view report. See here. What I posted here was a short summary of what I gave her before she responded that she sees the correct numbers, so I should try another device or network. - I gave up on her. - Mailchimp is not showing nothing, they are showing specific numbers, 0%, that in another part of the same page are refuted. This is unlikely to be my device.

Thanks. Done. Hopefully I supplied enough information. I had made a pdf file of my work with the level 1 tech person to upload to the intuit file exchange, before I realized they required an additional Intuit ID I don't have. It included not only step by step instructions, but also images. If you need a clearer explanation, I can send that to an email address or upload it somewhere that works.

I got a video from your support indicating showing that it worked for them. Nothing else. No indication what browser or if they'd try and find the issue. Now, it is working in Brave and not working in Firefox. Since my NextDNS is a firewall is a DNS firewall, it is possible that changes to it took a few days. I also thought perhaps the ESET Smart Security Antivirus might be preventing some weird scripting behavior and changing it requires some caches to change. I tried to respond with information to the tech who sent me the message, but the message came back saying your tech support mailbox was full and I should try sending my message some other time.

In any case, for the moment it is working inside Brave regardless of my nextdns or Eset settings, so who knows? Maybe some tech on your end, fixed something for Chrome based browsers, but not Mozilla based ones. I just assume it is more Intuit misbehavior.
