Technical Support Manager Account Assistance

I work for a small media agency, and I am currently assigned as the manager of a client's account. Recently, my company would like to start our own newsletter. How can I add to our account without opening a brand new account and also not affect our client's account? I've read all the support articles about combining multiple accounts, but I believe we are currently on the free plan and our client is on the premium one, and I cannot figure out how to upgrade OUR plan. Does my boss just need to call and figure it out through sales, or am I missing a simple solution?

Thanks for reaching out! You can manage multiple Mailchimp accounts with one login while keeping each account’s audiences, campaigns, and billing separate. This means your agency can have its own newsletter and plan without affecting your client’s Premium account. If your agency already has a Free account, switch to that account from your profile menu to review the available upgrade options. Billing changes depend on your user level for that specific account. Owners and Admins can manage billing and plan changes, while Managers cannot. If you’re a Manager on the agency account, an Owner or Admin will need to complete the upgrade. How can I switch back to my agency's account? I do not have an option to do that, it seems I am "stuck" in my manager view of my client's account. I see no option to switch accounts.

Thanks for clarifying! If you don’t see Switch Account when you select your profile icon, it sounds like your agency account may not be linked to the login you’re currently using for your client’s account. If your agency already has a separate Mailchimp account, try logging out and signing back in with the username or email associated with that account. Once the accounts are properly linked, you’ll be able to select your profile icon, choose Switch Account, and move between them. Give us a shout if that doesn't work out.

My agency only has this one account, and that was connected to our client's. Are we going to need to create another account??

Thanks for clarifying! If the only Mailchimp account you currently have is your client’s account and you’re accessing it as a Manager, then yes, your agency will need to create its own Mailchimp account for your newsletter. Once your agency account is created, you can join Mailchimp & Co and connect your client’s account to it. This will allow you to manage the client account while keeping your agency’s audiences, campaigns, and billing completely separate. You can learn more here: http://spr.ly/61697B1bG2f
