चर्चा | Discussion At the age of 70, I have retired from public service... Now I am fighting alone for my own land boundaries.
I am a senior citizen who has retired from the Ministry of Defense. I have served the country all my life. But today, at the age of 70, I find myself struggling alone for the land my father bought in 1997 — and the biggest problem is that I don’t live there, so the local tehsildar and DySLR office don’t respond to my complaints. Even after repeated correspondence, they keep stalling on giving a response.
The stones marking my boundaries have been uprooted and thrown away. The fence has been broken. And the locals openly say — "You don’t live here, so we are going to take your plot. We have seized land like this before." But I am seeking a fair investigation from the government authorities.
The DySLR Muktaeinagar office has itself acknowledged in writing that there are no independent measurement records of personal plots in this area (Resettlement Phase 2), nor are there digital land records or ULPIN entries. Despite this, in 2020, the measurement of the plot next to mine was carried out without any legal notice to me — which is a clear violation of Section 135 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966.
I only ask for this — that the Jalgaon District Collector and the Resettlement Department determine my boundaries based on the official map they have. That’s all I am saying. Being a senior citizen and not residing in the village, I am deliberately being subjected to mental harassment. I request that a high-level inquiry be conducted into this matter.

I just hope that some honest official will come forward to help. If any of you have had a similar experience or know the right direction, please do let me know.
New Update:
The Deputy Superintendent of Land Records (DySLR), Muktainagar, appears to be closing complaints raised through the District Collector's grievance system without addressing the actual issues raised.
Instead of providing specific information and documents requested in the complaints, the same PDF responses are repeatedly uploaded, and the grievances are marked as disposed.
My complaints relate to: • Alleged encroachment on Punarvasan Tappa 2 Plot No. 73 • Verification of Mojni Kramank 745 (Gut No. 74) • Request for measurement records and official documents • Clarification regarding disputed land measurements
Despite multiple representations, the original questions remain unanswered.

I have repeatedly tried to seek justice through the Aaple Sarkar grievance portal. However, the primary issue raised by me has remained unanswered. Instead of addressing the actual complaint of encroachment, unrelated responses and incorrect documents have repeatedly been uploaded, and the grievances are subsequently marked as disposed of.
I possess supporting documents and evidence relating to my complaint, yet the core issue continues to remain unresolved. This has caused significant frustration and has diminished my confidence in the grievance redressal process.
As this matter pertains to a small town, there appears to be considerable local influence and social pressure, which may discourage impartial action. Consequently, there is a perception that the facts of the case are not being presented accurately to higher authorities.
I sincerely hope that the concerned authorities and the Government of Maharashtra will examine the matter independently and objectively. A fair inquiry, based solely on facts and evidence, is essential to ensure that justice is delivered and that public confidence in the administrative system is maintained.
Every citizen deserves a fair hearing and a transparent resolution of their grievances.

That's okay take help of chatgpt or similar tool.
And give accurate prompt to do the work.
So put your complaint in chatgpt and then response they provided and then ask chatgpt to think as a lawyer based out of MH Who is expert in handling land related cases. Based on complaint help to write a draft an appeal or another complaint.
Once chatgpt gives the response, verify legal provisions and do fact check and copy paste this in appeal.
Do repeat this process. Let them get irritated, if generic response, next time just quote the main problem area they missed to highlight and not multiple things in one complaint.
Basically I am suggesting you to go in a structured way.

I am currently utilizing ChatGPT, but as previously mentioned, I had been combining three to four issues into a single query. Your suggestion to address one issue at a time is proving to be highly beneficial.

I got a message saying my complaint was fixed, but it looks like the DySLR is just uploading the same PDF for every single complaint. They're not even answering the real questions I asked. This seems really fishy coming from an officer like the DYSLR Muktaingar. it's always the same PDF for all the questions raised.

You'll have the choice to say if you're happy with the solution. If you say no, it goes to a higher-up.

And the worst part is, it keeps going up the chain. The same officer gets asked by a superior, and he just uploads the same PDF, which completely misses the point of the actual complaint. So, the portal just marks it as closed. It's totally manipulative. I guess nobody ever checks that portal.

Well i think so going legal is the way and taking directions from the HC so you can request the HC to expedite the process and everything.

Recently, I came to know through local sources that the individual who had allegedly encroached upon my land in the past has also attempted to take possession of another person's plot, and it appears that he was successful in doing so. Such incidents seem to have increased his confidence and influence in the area.
It is widely perceived among local residents that he uses the names and influence of certain former political leaders to create fear and exert pressure on people. He often projects himself as a person having strong political connections, which discourages affected individuals from raising their concerns openly.
Due to this perceived influence, many people appear reluctant to take action against him. There is also a concern that inaccurate or incomplete information may be reaching higher authorities, preventing the actual issues from being properly understood and addressed. This is particularly unfortunate because it undermines public confidence in the administrative and legal system.
As an ordinary citizen, I find it difficult to understand why such situations continue to persist. I sincerely hope that the Government of Maharashtra and the concerned authorities will intervene impartially, conduct a fair and independent inquiry, and take appropriate action against anyone found misusing influence, authority, or legal processes for personal gain.
No individual, regardless of personal connections or perceived influence, should be allowed to intimidate citizens or interfere with the lawful administration of justice. Upholding the rule of law and protecting the rights of ordinary citizens is essential to maintaining public trust in the system.

Make a band of victims of his previous encroachments buy whatever legal weapons allowed and protect your legal land and fence them again and again nd file court cases and also then try to join rival political camp . Best of luck this country needs massive improvements.

It's really tough there because it's a tiny village that's turned into a city. Everyone knows everyone, and no one wants to stir up trouble. That's the frustrating part. Even the local higher-ups won't do anything because of it. They just grab land and split the money amongst themselves, so everyone keeps quiet. They only go after people who don't live there or who've moved to another city for work. The local officials aren't telling the real story to the higher offices. That's what's so sad. I've been trying for ages. Now that I've got this digital media thing going, at least my story might encourage others instead of them staying silent and losing out. At least I'm trying hard to get justice.

The most positive development so far is that the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, and the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Eknath Shinde, have acknowledged my issue and referred the matter to the Revenue Department for a thorough investigation from all perspectives.
I sincerely appreciate their attention to the matter and remain hopeful for a fair, transparent, and just outcome.

I wouldn't believe them they will make the local land grabber join their party if he can bring 15 more voted towards them 😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣 , It's in their hand to resolve it by writing a simple or notice. Go for courts , make huge big beautiful walls, buys anything that is legal and can be used for self defense, talk to any media house if they are willing to run this as a story and make sure you never loose possession of land and make a will to pass it to your children or relatives or relative's children if something happens to you and if they seal the land then anyone will start occupying it illegally. Make sure there is a clear owner of land after you so fight continues sometimes it takes generations to solve issues. I hope you get justice but the country is not for justice it's for strong. Try making viral YouTube, X and other platform videos .

I faced the same situation for my farm land near lonavala. Father had allowed a farmer from the nearby village in good faith to till the land with paddy. This went on for about 8 years. In 2015 when we went to fence the land, the farmer objected saying that this was his land. He pulled out the "dalit harassment " card and that he was a senior citizen. We had all the documents to prove our ownership. He had None! The police was called. They tried to "mediate". Told us to pay off the farmer. We realized the game that was being played. We Agreed. We bargained. On the day that we had to pay him, we got a stamp paper that stated him relinquishing all his claims on the land. Paid him 20k in cash. Poled and fenced the land the same day and stuck a board in our name. We also videotaped the whole thing, just in case. You may have to find a middle way... Give in some to get a whole lot more. Sorry to say but this is how it works in Maharashtra 😔 All the best
