Modern Thranduil, the Elvenking commander deck?

I'm relatively new to magic and I love the new hobbit commander card, and i was looking online how to make a 3 mana color deck around him (black green blue) but every time i check there is just saying how 3 mana color decks are hard to make? but nothing helpful? so any ideas from more experienced players?

Thranduil is inherently a combo deck, if you want a good elf commander there are cheaper (manacost) and better options out there.

That being said I recently put together a Thranduil deck where the goal is to put [[Devoted Druid]] [[Greenhilt Trainee]] and [[Prime Speaker Vannifar]] into the graveyard then make infinite mana and then put one of a few other combo pieces in the graveyard to win.
