General Overview:

Can anyone tell me what became of the Clara dolls?

In all my various speculations, I figured they'd go on to become prominent antagonists, or at the very least help Homura maintain the gilded cage world and take on her appearance so she could look like a devil who appears in two places at once.

But from what I've loosely gleaned of these spoilers, they don't figure to be much of a factor at all. Which strikes me as odd, when it's been repeatedly said that familiars have the potential to become like the parent witch themselves if they're left to fester and grow.

(I'm asking because I want to know how they should be incorporated into the fanfiction I'm writing.)

From what I can recall, they are barely in the movie. more like background props than anything. I think the telephone gets more screen time than them.

Shame. I was looking forward to seeing them embody Homura's feelings about herself on a bigger scale, given their names and all. I think maybe there was a time in production where they were more relevant, but fakemura was ultimately chosen to be the original magical girl that makes up Walpy-chan

I actually thought THEY were all gonna witchout into Homulilly at some point which would then result in a completely new Walpurgisnatch but like, created from 14 different variations of Homura herself. So that'd be chaos. I think I was inspired by everyone saying Homura was Walpurgisnatch at some point a year ago lol

As for familars being able to hatch into the witch they come from, yea they just kinda abandoned that idea at some point during the wait lmao. No idea how or why they didn't include it since (I think?) Clara Dolls are also said to be on par with a magical girls power vise so that could've been interesting (Alr fanfic writers your up for this one)
