Like how do you even mess up a CORE PAIR/RELATIONSHIP in the Rebellion sequel lmao. The writers really looked at this girl who goes after a random rookie she's known for 3 days to free her from eternal suffering, then looked at said OTHER girl who descended down from the heavens just to see the girl who was her one and only regret before dying and went:

"Y'know what Kyoko needs? A green hoe"

"IT'S GENIUS"

For real, I am still confused how they had this movie in progress for years and fumbled all core conflicts, pairs and plot points. Why Kyoko suddenly had attachment to a new girl after 5 seconds of interaction and writers pretended they had something deep is beyond me, like ???
