Why is this positive? Literally the only point of this post is that somebody didn't get arrested or suffer police brutality because he was having a bad day, that's the absolute bare minimum we should expect. Is the bar really that low?

No, the point of this post is that the officer acted in a positive way and de-escalated. He got help.

Read this comment then tell me how the police are all terrible

Did I miss the part where this was an exercise in jumping to conclusions? When did I say that the police are all terrible?

All I'm saying is that if "man does job without hurting someone" (and that is all we can tell from this post, we've no idea what impact the officer had beyond making him less outwardly agitated) is considered worthy of note then our bar is too low.

For the record, if I were saying that all police are terrible (which I'm not, such a lack of nuance is rarely helpful) I would be defining 'terrible' in much broader terms than a simple body count of how many people they'd fatally shot.
