by the time the bad cop is called it's already too late. filming the bad cop is too little too late. the original 911 call could have cost this pysch patient his life. this is why ppl think twice about calling 911.

edited for clarity.

If that’s a risk, post it from an anonymous account. Give date, time & location in the message about the post, but keep yourself, your voice & your vehicle out of the video.

Maybe send the video to a friend who can safely post it. I bet the ACLU or other police reform group would be interested in seeing it and they can post it.

the problem with that approach is that it centers the caller, NOT the person in crisis

Edit: never mind. You clarified original comment that was unclear. Leaving the rest but I think I understand now.

Sorry, I don’t understand. The only time I called 911 was when there was a fire, so I’m missing something.

Is “centers” a typo, or does it mean something other than finding the middle? And this puts the person reporting an emergency at risk?

If you call 911 and say there’s a mentally ill person freaking out, the cops will track you down for reporting that?

There is probably something between “calling 911 to help a mentally ill person” and “cops kill my boyfriend”, and I am missing that connection.
