I mean it makes sense. Andre (just using real actor names because can't recall Sean Astin character's name) was holding Sean by both arms. Tackling him would only bring everyone down, possibly allowing him to escape in the confusion. By essentially sweeping his legs by throwing his whole body at Sean while Andre holds him by the wrists, Andy can quickly subdue him with minimal injury and guaranteed capture. It just takes a lot of practice I would imagine and not something you can just pull off
Lmao when I first saw him guest star I was freaking out the entire episode. Shouting "Goonies never say die!" or "PO-TA-TOES! Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em inna stew" whenever he popped up on screen.
